We walk into a huge room, could have been a modern day ballroom if you ask me. (It's a very nice hotel since I didn't mention) On the far wall were to sets of stairs coming from each side, a bar on the right and a huge chandelier on the ceiling.
I observe the people in the room. Nice suits and dresses on every person. Everyone split up into smaller groups. I was sticking with Sophie and Millie. we walk over to a standing table.
"Hell of a place," I mention glancing around again. My eyes spot a familiar face. Well two, Andre and Keanu. Andre locks eyes with me. I look away and keep my focus on the conversation. We walk over to Caleb and Noah.
The bartender is shaking his head at Noah as Caleb steers him away from the bar.
"You though he would let you drink underage?" Caleb asks.
"Hey, I just wanted to make sure he was doing his job is all," Noah replies smiling cheekily.
I stand near them when I hear someone clear their throat behind me. I turn and it's Andre.
"Yes?" I ask.
"Come with me quick," He says walking away. I don't know what I was thinking but I followed him.
"So," He smirks.
I stop him. "If your gonna say something crude I'm gonna stop you right there,"
"No, no, I left that guy behind me," He pauses. "I was serious about my apology,"
"Okay, then what's up,"
He smiles. "Well I know you still hung up on Miles,"
I frown. Come on seriously? Don't tell me anyone can tell.
"Maybe a little, not that it matters-"
He stops me. "Summer and him never had a good relationship, and I'm not telling you to sabotage their thing they got going on, I know that Miles still cares about you, it's almost obvious. That's why things haven't been great with Summer after a while, and she knows it too. Their both in denial." He pauses. "In all honesty, he still hates me for high school. He doesn't wanna be friends and I get it, I was an asshole, so if you say no then it's cool, but if you felt like stirring the pot a little, y'know speed things up a little maybe,"
"You suggesting?"
"Yes, I mean to be clear I mean you and I could hang out a little more maybe catch Miles attention a little,"
I think on it. Is that bad? I don't know, maybe this would be good, I'd be able to focus on something else and a part of me feels, impulsive, a little risky.

We walk back out. We talked like old friends, at least that's what everyone else saw. Keanu walked up to us looking around us like we were being shady.
"Andre, where have you been?"
Miles was staring through my soul. I didn't have to look at him to feel it.
"Just getting to know my friend here a little better," He says, our shoulders almost touching.
I feel more eyes look our way, and I almost wanna bail but my thoughts of backing out get interrupted when Miles is grabbing my wrist and pulling me out of the room. He doesn't try to hide his anger and jealousy when we make it to the elevator. He violently jams the button, still holding my wrist.
"Where the hell are we going?" I ask.
"To my room,"
