Miles pov:
I walked back to my room to meet up with Summer. She was standing near the window looking out. When she heard me close the door behind me she turned to face me.
"I think we should go on a trip, just you and me, away from," she paused. "Everyone"
I sigh, pinching the bridge of my nose.

"I really can't just up and leave right now summer,"

She frowns in response. I really don't have the patience to deal with her.

"Do you even want me here?" She asks her voice wavering.

This again. "Summer I-"

"Am I just so terrible," she chokes. " I trying so hard to be enough for you, I do so much for you, us" she cries.

"Please Summer," I walk over to her. She turns her head and scowl on her face. "You are a horrible boyfriend," she slaps him. A tingling sting lingers on his cheek.

Why. Why me? "Please Summer, I'm sorry," I plead. Why was I? She hit me, she is trying to make me feel bad when there is nothing to feel bad about. Or maybe I'm wrong, and I am the bad guy. "I'm sorry," I say again, sighing. "I can make it up to you okay?"

She is faced away, arms crossed now. "Fine, I have to leave this weekend for a family thing, I'll be back in a week and then we can go someplace nice together," She turns. "And alone,"

I nod looking down at the floor. I will have time to myself, away from her. Thinking about it made something inside his chest feel lighter.

Y/n dash into her room and hop on her bed. She was itching to know what that voicemail said.
I didn't leave a message did I? Why did he seem so frantic about it? Was there something he didn't want her to know. She shook her head. No that couldn't be it, could it. Something felt weird in her to listen to it so she out it off.
"Tomorrow," she said to herself. "I'll listen to it then,"

The next day, Summer was rolling a suitcase out the front door of the manor, Miles following close behind. She said her goodbyes and was off. He sighed walking back in. "You doing okay?" Chosen stood leaning against the wall. He looked up.
"Oh yeah, yeah just a lot I've got to do,"
He nodded in response, he didn't believe a word he said. Chosen and a few other have felt off about Summer. They didn't know what but something was definitely wrong.
"We are here for you okay? If you need to take any of the load off," he wasn't talking about work.

Millie, Sadie, and Sophia invited y/n for a day trip into town. She accepted and was gathering her things as fast as she could since they were all waiting downstairs for her. She dashed out the door but rammed into Miles almost falling, he grabbed her arm before she could fall back on the ground.
"In a hurry I see," he remarks letting her arm go.

She shrugs, " Sorry, I didn't want to keep people waiting" she replies. Miles room door was open and when she glanced in she could see the painting of him she made a year ago. He noticed her look and followed it.

"Sorry I just, I didnt expect you to-"

"Have it hanging up?" He asked looking down at her again. He almost lost his words. He hadn't gotten many chances to look at her, and that close.

Her glance lingered a bit longer before meeting his eyes. " yeah, I mean no?" She questioned herself.

He chuckled a little. "You have somewhere to be don't you?" He asked, though he wished she didn't.

"Oh right, yes" she walked past him. "Uh bye Miles," she added heading down the corridor.

He smiled as she walked off.
