Miles pov:
Miles stands facing away from Noah. He hasn't responded to his previous statement. Miles didn't know how he should go about it, should he come clean? Damn what will happen. He has been hoping to tell someone but he feels so afraid and ashamed, how could he be bullied in a relationship?
"Noah, I need you to sit down for a moment," turning he looks Noah in his eye conveying exactly how serious he is.
Noah is a bit taken aback by it but listens to what he says. He is his best friend after all. He is worried.
Miles stirs across from him. "Me and summer have been fighting a lot recently," he begins. "And it's bad," he pauses.
Noah notices how his demeanor changes and reaches out a hand to his shoulder. "Hey, it's okay, you can tell me what's up,"
Miles looks up at him.
"She, does things, I know she doesn't mean it,"
Noah narrows his eyes in confusion. "What do you mean by that Miles?"
"She likes to throw things, hit things," he says quietly.
"You mean," Noah pauses.
Miles nods.
Noah's grip on Miles shoulder tightens.
"I don't want you to say anything," he panics. Standing up, causing Noah to do the same.
"What??" Noah exclaims. "I can't just-"
Just then the door bursts open. They both turn to see who it is.
Summer walks in. "Oh, I'm so sorry, did I interrupt something?" She asks innocently.
They look at each other.
"No," Miles says. Boring his eye into Noah's.
He doesn't say anything and leaves.
Miles feel horrible, he doesn't want his friend to have to carry this burden but what happens if it came out, how would she react?
Summer moves out of Noah's way and he passes by, crossing her arms.
"I have to tell you something," she says.
"I'm leaving for a trip to visit my parents, only should be gone a week at most," she glares at him. "I better not hear you hanging out with that ex girlfriend of yours," malice lacing her voice.
Miles says nothing.
Y/n pov:
I've spent the entire morning in the library, I about to leave when I see summer passing by, she has a suitcase trailing behind her. Leaving again it seems. She can't lie, it feels like a weight off her chest seeing her leave.
I need to talk to miles, the voicemail he sent, it feels weird ignoring him, I want to let him know that there is no reason to be embarrassed or have things be weird ecpecially with summer. I walk up to his room. The door is closed so I give a knock.
I hear light footsteps and the door cracks.
"Um Miles I-""I don't want to talk to you y/n, what I said in that voicemail, it meant nothing, I want you to stay away from me if your living here," with that he shut the door in her face.
She stood there in total shock. What the hell was that about. She couldn't lie, it hurt her a lot, and she felt embarrassed even coming to talk to him.
Miles pov: (sorry from going from 1 pov to 3rd please forgive me)
I have to leave y/n out of this she can't get hurt, who know what the hell summer would do to her. The only way I can protect her is to keep her as far away from me as possible.
Shutting the door in her face killed me. God how bad I wanted to rip that door open and grab her and apologize for my behavior was so gripping I almost had no control. I forced myself to face away from the door and walk away. A few seconds later I heard her walk away.
Y/n pov:
I laid in bed thinking about what he said
It didn't mean anything
I want you to stay away from me
Anger swept away the somber feelings. How could he make her think he still cared about her, pulling her along on this string. If he wanted her to stay away that is exactly what she would do. She sent a text to Millie.
