Perpetual Feelings| Miles Fairchild

Chapter 4

I walk down to the dining room with Miles. I sit between Chosen and Sadie. Miles, Summer and Flora across from us. Millie emerges from the kitchen with her hands full. 

"Okay everyone, dinner is served," She says setting things down. She then sits next to Noah and Wyatt.

Everyone engages in conversation. Chosen turns his head to me.

"It really is nice to see you again," He says. I nod. 

"Yeah, I missed all of you guys," 

"Even Miles?" He asks, smirking. I shake my head as a smile creeps onto my face. "I mean, I was only joking but..." He says and I hit his arm as we laugh. 

Miles eyes glance over at us for a moment before returning his gaze at Jack. Sadie joins in the conversation. 

"What are you guys laughing about?" She asks. 

"Oh just how much y/n missed us, especially Miles," Chosen says nonchalantly.

I narrow my eyebrows. "Shut up, Chosen," He chuckles. 

Sadie smiles. "There is nothing to be ashamed of," 

I playfully roll my eyes. "Whatever," 

"So, how is school?" She asks.

"Oh, actually, I am almost finished,"

Sadie nods. "Then what?"

I shrug my shoulders. "I don't know just try and start my career," (I will not specify what your dream job is, that's up to you of course) 

"Well, you know you are always welcome here," She smiles.

After dinner, Jack came to talk to me before I decide to leave. 

"Hey um, I want to talk to you," 

"Yeah?" I ask.

"So, I heard about you finishing school soon, so I have this crazy idea," He says outstretching his hands at his sides. I just look at him with a confused look on my face. 

"You could live here," He exclaims. Before I can say anything he adds. "I know, it's crazy, but it was partially Flora's idea so-" 

"Jack!" She whines, coming around the corner. "You weren't supposed to say anything about me!"

He shrugs. "I only wanted to be honest," 

I look between them. 

"You should, I mean you still have your room and you mom lives nearby and you would live with all of us," She rambles. 

I give a some thought. "Well I don't know, wouldn't that be weird, you know" I look at Jack. 

"Because of Miles?" Flora asks. "I don't think he would mind," She smiles. 

"Well I also already live with someone and-" 

"You haven't started your career yet so, you could start here. You can think about it, but let us know because Flora", He motions to her. "Just can't live without you here", 

She looks accusingly at Jack. "You want her to live here too", She exclaims. 

He shrugs. "It would be alright"

That's when Millie comes. "Y/n, are you leaving?" She asks. 

"Uh yeah, I should go" 

I say goodbye to everyone and go to the door. Miles, Flora, and Jack are standing by it. Flora pulls me down to her level. "Please think about it. I'll ask Miles, but I'm sure he won't mind," She says. 

I nod and hug her, standing back up. I look at Jack who has the widest grin on his face. 

"Hope to see you around then y/n", he says. 

I nod slowly, trying to find his angle. Jack quickly leaves with Flora, leaving me and Miles alone.  

We stand in awkward silence. 

"Uh, thanks for dinner," I say quickly.

He smiles. "Yeah, it was nice running into you" 

He stands there leaning with his hand on the doorknob, looking down at me. After a few moments Jack pops his head from the corner. 

"Are you guys kissing and making up or what?" He asks smirking. 

"I am going now actually," 

Miles opens the door for me. "Goodnight y/n", he says. 

"Night Miles", He closes the door and I walk to my car. 

Miles Pov:

"Seriously Jack?" I ask walking towards him.

"What? You guys were practically drooling over each other", He says in a matter-a-factly tone. 

I roll my eyes at him. I see Flora standing near by swaying side to side with her hands clasped together. 

I cross my arms looking at her. "Yes Flora, what is it?"

"Umm, I wanted to ask if y/n could live with us?" She says shyly. 

"Here?" I ask. She nods. "Did you ask her?" 

"Yeah and she was unsure cause it could be weird and she has to think about it," Flora says so quickly I almost don't catch her words. 

I think for a minute. "Well I don't have anything against it"

"Good", Flora says in a bossy tone. I chuckle at her manner.

Later I go to my room when I hear a knock. 

"Come in", I say. I look over at the door and see Summer. 

"Miles, I want to talk to you, like a said earlier"

"Yes, about what?" I ask. 

"Well, I want to make it official, What we have because I like you Miles", She says.

"Okay", I reply. She smiles, leaning in to kiss me.

I am going to try and update everyday 

and hopefully post at least one new part

everyday or most days
