I hide a smile as Alan pulls up a website on how to start the game. I may be the one who isn't afraid to address problems, but my brother is the one who knows how to solve them.
We all gather around and try to read over Alan's shoulder as he reads silently in his head. Caleb, finally fed up with not knowing what needs to happen, grabs it out of Alan's hands.
“Okay!! I’m going to read this out loud for everyone!” he proclaims.
“No way!!” yells his brother Jacob,
“your voice is too annoying! Let me do it!” Caleb holds the phone up as Jacob jumps and tries to grab it as Grim sneaks around and clambers on the bed. She then springs on top of Caleb and steals the phone before tossing it to me and tumbling to the ground.
I grin, Grim may be the smallest out of all of us by a considerable amount, but she was sneaky and quick, a good person to have on your team for basketball.
I catch the phone easily and start reading before anyone else can protest.
“Okay! Looks like there is a list of things we need -
1. Stuffed teddy bear
2. Rice
3. Something from our body, like nail clippings
4. A wooden toothpick
5. Red sewing thread
6. Salt
7. Bathtub filled with water
8. And a safe spot
“I think we should assign people to get these things and come back later. How does that sound?” Everyone nodded their heads. “Okay then! Let's do this!”
