Two weeks earlier
What the heck is Jacob thinking?! He literally has a death wish! He's seen what I, What It, did to Katie and Caleb. A plan. He has to have a plan. If not, he would have been better off committing suicide in a less painful way.
"Well now, look-y here. We got ourselves a surrender. What shall we do dear grim?" it asks me, "Should we go after him?"
No! We should stop the game! We should give up and end this whole thing! I try to convince it desperately.
"Tsk, tsk, you pathetic thing. Don't you know by now I never give up? And forget about letting you pick. I have a better idea. We go after the twins first, as we know they are bound to be together. Plus, we already started tracking them. This boy sending his location will just torture them all. The twins might think they are safe for a bit, or just constantly waiting for the picture of their last friend. Bonus! Now the foolish boy will be slowly driven mad with the wait and anticipation of seeing us show up at any time. Beautiful plan, Yes?"
If I were in charge of my body I would be trembling, cowering in a corner somewhere. Instead I feel waves of horror travel through my mind. Were doomed... There is no place for escape. All my friends will die by my hands. All I will be able to do is watch it torture them one by one until the game is finally over.
