I'm so sorry ... life has been a bit busy, and Taylor back on tour takes up even more time because I clown.

Enjoy the shitshow

"So, Miss. Hayes, after the last contract, there are a handful of artists that are wanting you," Caleb mutters, flipping through the files.

We were in the conference room with four others here for notes or information.  After finishing Katy's shoot last week, I took a few days off and am now hitting the ground running. It was August and the middle of summer. I couldn't wait till the holiday when we decorated the office space. It brought more life to the work days.

" what's the goal for the rest of the year?" he asks clicking his pen.

The same Caleb cut me with kiddie scissors when we were kids. He moved to New York a few months ago, and I immediately noticed his work ethic. I needed someone like him on my team to get shit done. So I hired him, and he was promoted within a month, and I fired my last assistants.

I wouldn't consider him a full-blown assistant all the time, and he just scheduled my clients for me- after I approved them. Recently I've tightened ship as to who I want to direct videos for - Katy was an exception considering she's fucked me in bed. It's a mutual understanding, but I didn't want to burn any bridges.

"I want 50 done by the end of the year."

The room goes silent, and I can hear Caleb's pen clatter on the table

"50," he questions

"Yep," I lean back in my chair and sip my coffee.

This shit never gets better, yet I choke it down in hopes it will wake me up.

"Lav-"

"50." I cut him off

50 is more than reasonable- I don't understand why he's being an ass about it.

"We might have to open our net then," he says, picking the pen back up."

" that's fine - just no gaudy boy bands," I snort

Caleb laughs and writes a few things down.

"You have a meeting today at 9 with Jessica Lorenzo, a meeting at 10 with Tree Paine, and a meeting at 3 with the staff, " he says, checking off today's schedule.

Surprisingly, it's calm, and I usually have tons more meetings and errands to run.

"Remind me what the first two meetings are about," I ask

"They both are about upcoming albums- they want music videos and all that." he waves his hand

"OK, send me over the info, please." I nodded my head

"Other than that, it's a casual day," Caleb says, standing up

"Thank you all," I say and grab my coffee before heading to my office.

I shut my door and take a deep breath. Will this get any easier? At times, I feel imposter syndrome, like I'm not meant to be here, then I see my work and I shut up.

My office phone rings, and I let it go to voicemail. I close my eyes and focus on my breathing. Anxiety is a normal part of life- it's all about if you overcome it or let it control you that defines who you are.

I push off the door and reach the desk; picking the phone up, I listen to the voicemail.

"Hello, this is the front desk- you have a delivery. "
