I hugged her tight and let her cry. I guess people play strong to hide they are broken from the inside. Tears made their way to my eyes seeing her cry like that. But I held them back, not because I was supposed to be stronger, but because she needed someone to wipe her tears. A while later, when she finally calmed down, she pushed me. I was taken aback as she faced the other side.
"Hey, what was that for?" I asked with a concerned expression.
"Go away." She said.
"Nope." I retorted.
"Go awayy, I'm embarrassed." She suddenly started whining as I chuckled.
"You know, it's okay to cry sometimes. Stop showing the world you are Captain Marvel. And I know, it must be hard to share these things with someone close, someone whose impression of you might affect you, but I'm here for you as a stranger, alright? I will be there for you, trust me." I comforted her as she faced me.
"Thanks. I really needed that. And today's Eli's birthday by the way." She shared.
"That's great. So stop crying now, your brother would not want you to cry on his special day." I smiled as we walked towards the stairs.

Eunchae
I feel really good today. I guess my enemy comforts me better than my brother. It was a hug I wanted for so long. All my tests are done and we're heading back to the hotel in a taxi. I was about to call Jake when suddenly my phone rang. Jake was calling.

Eunchae: Was about to call ya.
Jake: Are you with Jungwon right now?
Eunchae: (glancing towards Jungwon) Yeah, why?
Jake: Put the phone on speaker.
Eunchae: Why though?
Jake: Because I said. Remember I'm 9 months older.
Eunchae: (puts the phone on speaker) Yeah tell, Jungwon's listening.
Jake: So... Ms. Kim had a tragedy in her house. She is leaving in the night.
Jungwon: Wait what? What about us?
Jake: Yeah that's why I called dumbo.
Eunchae: (chuckles)
Jungwon: Hey stop embarrassing me hyung.
Jake: Whatever. The Principal has offered to pay for the trip of the students who are willing to stay. But we would have to ask our parents if they want to let us stay without our guardian. I called my mom and she said okay for Eunchae and me as long as you guys are there. Jungwon could you call your mom and ask her? Everyone is busy asking their parents.
Eunchae: How is this even possible?
Jungwon: Oh c'mon. We're 18. In college. Of course, we can stay alone. Hyung, I'll ask my mother right away and call you later.
Jake: Okay.
Call cut
I looked at him weirdly as Jungwon cut the call and took my phone.
"Excuse me?" I asked.
"What?" He cross-questioned. The AUDACITY-
"Where's your phone?" I asked.
"Well, it's not my fault 'someone' collapsed at 3 a.m. and I had to carry her to the hospital and forgot my phone." Jungwon explained.
"Jeez dude, calm down. Okay fine call your mom." I spoke.
ringing...ringing...
Jungwon puts the call on speaker because of the noise made by cars.

Eomma: Hello, who's this?
Jungwon: Eomma, it's me, Jungwon.
Eomma: Oh it's you. How come you're not calling from your phone? Where is it?
Jungwon: (glances at Eunchae who is looking at him already) Uhh... it's a... friend's.
Eomma: Friend or 'Girlfriend' huh?
Jungwon: (chokes on air and Eunchae starts laughing) N-no Mom. What are you talking about? Nothing like that.
Eomma: Oh shut up. I can see the profile picture. It's a girl. By the way, she's really pretty. When are you bringing her home?
Jungwon: (chokes on air pro max)
Eunchae: (smiles awkwardly)
Jungwon: M-mom. Stop all that nonsense. Anyway, I called to ask you about something.
Eomma: Hmm. Go on.
Jungwon: Actually our assigned teacher is leaving Australia due to personal reasons right away but the school is offering free travel and accommodation payment for those who want to stay. But we need our parents' consent. Can I go please?
Eomma: Ain't no way I'm sending my baby to some foreign country without a guardian.
Eunchae: (laughs)
Jungwon: Mom, I'm 18. Plus most of my friends our staying. (mouths Eunchae to say something)
Eunchae: Yes Aunty, all of us are staying and it would be lonely without Jungwon.
Eomma: Who are you, sweetheart?
Eunchae: I am the owner of this phone, Min Eunchae
Eomma: So... you're my Jungwon's girlfriend.
Eunchae & Jungwon: (choke on air ultra pro max)
Eunchae: No no Aunty. He's just a friend.
Eomma: Oh I see. But since this sweet girl is saying, I'm letting you stay. And uh, Eunchae-ssi, please take care of my Jungwon. I don't want my baby to get into any kind of trouble. I have trust in you.
Eunchae: Yes Aunty, I won't break your trust.
Eomma: Thank you, sweetheart. Bye Chae, bye Wonnie.
Eunchae & Jungwon: Byeee!
Call cut
As soon as that call cut I burst out laughing.
"Hey, don't do that." Jungwon sulked while pouting.
"You look so cute mumma's baby. I bet you are too fragile to take care of yourself." I laughed as I mocked him.
"I swear I'm gonna get back at you." Jungwon warned.
"Hey, bad manners mumma's boy. That's no way to talk to your babysitter." I chuckled as I saw a smile creep on his face. Soon we both started laughing like there was no tomorrow. Suddenly, Jungwon stopped laughing and said,
"Idea. I'm gonna get back at you by giving you all these medicines you dislike."
