Eunchae

Everyone was laughing in the hotel cafe after being allowed to stay but I sat, secluded in the corner, staring at Kim Sunoo. I don't know why but this thought suddenly came to me. I have never seen Sunoo as just a friend or a brother before. He was always, um, someone in between after we moved to Japan. Though Sunoo was Korean, he shifted to Japan when he was younger. He was the first guy I had met, and become so close to. There was this time in Japan when something tingled inside me, whenever Sunoo was close. I still remember his rule of posting 1 selfie a day on Instagram. When we moved here, he moved with us because his parents wished to live in their hometown. But, being in the same college didn't help much, because we had different schedules. I am still pondering over the thought of our relationship because not much is told here, but we always make time to talk to each other.

I can't help but feel jealous of that one significant other, Shin Jihye, he is staring at. She is not very well known to me, but we happen to 'hi' each other every time we meet. This might come out as a sudden but I think, I like him, don't I? I realised my feelings quite late but I always shrugged off the increase of my heartbeat whenever he came closer. He is pretty cute. I hate to admit that I had a crush on Yang Jungwon, but it has faded since.

"Staring at Jungwon, Ay?" Yoonah asked smirking as she sat beside me staring at the boys too.

"No. Kim Sunoo." I replied, unknowingly as she gasped.

"Oh my god, don't tell me-" She spoke but I interrupted.

"I think so." 

"You should have told me. My bad, you would've felt so bad when I tried to ship you with Jungwon." Yoonah replied thoughtfully. "Since when though?"

"I don't know. The moment I met him in Japan. He just has this thing to make everyone whipped. He's just so extroverted, sassy, and cute." I stared at Sunoo.

"Now, I feel really bad for being on team Eunwon all these years girl." Yoonah regretted.

"You didn't ask me though." I replied. Maybe he's just looking at her because she's pretty right?

You received a text from 💚Sunoo💚,

💚Sunoo💚: Hi, can we meet at the rooftop? I want to share something.

You: Yeah, sure.

I looked above to see he was gone, probably waiting for me at the rooftop. I couldn't help but feel excited at his sudden message. Was he going to confess? I couldn't control my delusional self and remembering the dream I had about us being together didn't help much.

A/N

Elsewhere, fate was repeating itself with Jungwon, as he looked at Shin Jihye, his girl best friend who was intently staring at his friend, Kim Sunoo.

Jungwon

I hate the way she is looking at him. Why can't it be me? Majority of these years I have wondered why I can't help but feel good at the thought of Jihye and me being together, especially after Eunchae left. We were in the same grade during school and had the same class schedule in college. The fact that we have known each other since childhood, doesn't help it. Maybe she's just looking at him because he's attractive right? 

I took out my phone and looked at the message that I texted on the plane in the group chat with all my six friends.

You: Guys, I don't like Eunchae. Stop shipping me with her.

Jay: Yeah guys, I think we should stop. Jake told me Eunchae doesn't like Jungwon.

Jake: Yeah she doesn't :)

Sunghoon: Replied to Jake,

That smiley sounds fishy. Are you lying #Jake?

Jake: Replied to Sunghoon,

No, she doesn't like him, dude. I read her diary.

Heesung: Man, you really are bullying the little girl #Jake.

Niki: Sounds fine to me. If you really don't like her Jungwon, we won't say anything.

Sunghoon: My poor Eunwon hearteu. 

You: 😑

Sunoo: I'm fine with that bro. Sorry if it was too much.

Now that I think of it, this can be a valid reason to like Kim Sunoo. He is a sweetheart who always cares about others' feelings. But she doesn't like him, right? Why am I jumping to conclusions? Right then, I got a text from Jihye.

You received a text from hyehye ♡,

hyehye ♡: Hi, can we meet in my room? I wanna tell you smth.

You: Okay. Coming rn.

I couldn't help but smile at the thought of her calling me alone so that she could share something. Does she also have feelings for me?

On my way, I bumped into someone who was also in a hurry. It was Eunchae. She just whispered a sorry and left. Welp! I got to go somewhere more important right now. I took the lift and hummed my way happily towards her room. I rang the bell and she opened it with a smile, holding my hand to take me in. She took me inside and held both of my hands, as she started,

"Wonnie, I-"

I was quite nervous about the fact that he called me to a rooftop. I ran happily towards the door to the rooftop and opened it. I smiled to see Sunoo staring at the setting sun, looking ethereal. I walked up to him and we shared the sunset for a while before he locked his eyes with mine and said,

"Chae, I-"
