Present day, Hyderabad

Pallavi just took her luggage from the taxi and headed towards the lift. As she was waiting for the lift when she checked her phone for new messages. There were some from her office instructing her to join from the next working day. There were some her friends wishing her success for the new step and some other messages from her mom and dad. She decided to ignore both of them as usual but then she saw a message from Pluto. She smiled looking at the screen and started texting him back.

Reached safely my girl?

Yup baby. On the way to the apartment.

I miss you already.

Me too but I will definitely call you everyday. Take care baby.

The ting sound of the lift made her to look up and she saw a person in the security dress coming outside the lift. He stopped looking at her and then at her luggage.

"Are you one of the new resident here?"

"Well uncle, yes. From today onwards, I will be staying at 12B."

"I am the indoor security guard Rajeev, ma'am. You will get my contact details from the directory. Just call me if you need any service."

"Uncle it's Pallavi and thanks for the help. By the way is there any new resident here? I asked because you mentioned so."

"Yaa. Ajith sir's son has just occupied 12C, your opposite apartment yesterday. His father is the builder of this Prestige apartments and he had brought two flats here, after he completed the construction. Since, Raghav sir got transferred to this city, he is staying in one of those apartments."

"I see. So he is my neighbor."

"Yes beta. It's a good thing that you have got a police officer next door."

"What? He is in police force?"

"Ha. He is the ACP of this city."

"Oh. Thanks for the information uncle."

"See you soon beta and take care."

She nodded and entered the lift.

Uncle just gave me all the information of my neighbor.  His name, profession, flat number, his father name, his job. . . Which means he is so talkative and can't keep things to himself.

Pallavi just laughed inside her mind thinking about the nature for people. She took out her phone to google this police officer's details but a call from Pluto distracted her from doing so.

"So Raghav. Tell me when will you take over the case." SP Ajay Vasudev asked him in a tensed tone. Raghav could clearly see the wrinkles on his forehead indicating the stress that he is going through.

"Right from today sir. I need the complete information of the case. Including all the photographs and forensic  reports."

"Sure. You will get it today. See Raghav, the bodies were recovered from various places in the city and with the recent murder which was the killer's third victim we know that there is a serial killer out there in the city. With Riya Mehta's murder, the case is now under our supervision and I want results. This has already became a sensational news and you know that Mr. Mehta is one of the most influential persons in the city. So  . ."

"I got it sir. Will make sure that we will chase the man down."

"Good. I am assigning two of our best men as your assistant. They will contact you soon."
