Raghav called Vishwa and Raghuveer to his cabin.

"Yes sir?" Raghuveer looked at Raghav who was looking at the photographs from the crime scene.

"Dead bodies of Shweta Awasthi, Rohit Kapoor and Riya were found from random places around the city right?"

"Yes sir?"

"Did you notice something common in all of these places?"

"Sir these are not so populated areas. Hence the killer must have thought that . . ."

"People won't notice him easily. Yes but anything apart from that?"

Vishwa and Raghuveer stared at each other.

"There is a cremation ground next to each of these spot and that just not what it is. Look at these photographs."

He handed it over to them and they looked at it.

"The bodies where lying on the bare land with each of their hands, to be precise the left hand which had deep cuts, were positioned in such a manner that they were pointing towards a particular direction."

Vishwa again took a look at the photographs.

Yes, it was as if their index finger was pointing out to a particular direction - the east direction if they look geographically.

"Sir this means . . ."

"The cremation ground is in the east direction to that of the body in each case. All this can't be a coincidence."

Raghav noticed this common point of index finger that point towards eastern direction while analyzing the photographs last night. He just collected the details of the place including abandoned buildings, fields and plots that exist in those specific direction. The only common thing in all the three cases was the cremation ground.

"Raghuveer, you do the necessary arrangements to  search the grounds as soon as possible. Meanwhile Vishwa, you should arrange a meeting with Riya's - the last viction's parents. Make sure that they are in a state to talk."

"What about the forensics sir?"

"The expert will be here tomorrow. She will brief us with the details. And one more thing. . . " he said in an alarming tone.

"You two will make sure that whatever we are discussing about the case shall not reach anyone else. It's a strict order from both  me and Ajay sir. Got it?"

"Yes sir."

They left the place and Raghav felt that there is something more to what he has already found about the case.

"Yes sir. I will keep the article ready by the end of this month." Pallavi said in her tired voice and went back to complete her job. Managing a role of journalist was something that she always aspired for. And she was happy that she made it to this position on her own. But she was not completely satisfied.

If only mom and dad were together . . .she said with a sigh.  If Dev's parents were alive they would have done something to stop this separation. . .

Dev . .yes. The unanswered question in her life. His parents died on that fateful day but Dev . .where is he? What happened to him? And why did all those things happened in the first place?

These were the questions that were haunting her!

It was then she heard a calling bell. She got up and opened the door to find Raghav standing in front of her.
