CHAPTER 4

Raghav went towards her side and softly called her name.

"Pallavi?" She turned around to see Raghav staring at her.

"Raghav, what are you doing here?" She was also equally surprised to see him there.

"Well, I am groom's friend."

"And I am bride's best friend." she said with a small smile.

"Well, that's great."

Well, he thought that it's good since he will get sometime to know her close enough. It's not like he is suspicious of her but he felt a need to know her even well.

Meanwhile, Sanjay came to their side and stood in front of a girl.

"Pihu, meet my friend Raghav. Actually he is ACP Raghav Rao who is currently posted in this city."

"Oh, hello sir. Nice to meet you." she greeted him.

"Call me Raghav and yes, congrats to both of you."

"Thanks Raghav. By the by meet my best friend Pallavi."

"Pallavi, nice to meet you finally. Pihu had told me a lot about you." Sanjay said to Pallavi.

"Same here Sanjay."

"Raghav you guys know each other before?" Sanjay asked him, looking at his buddy's surprised face.

They looked at each other.

"Yes, she is my neighbor actually."

"Oh that's great. So guys, tonight is our bachelor party. So Raghav, go, collect your keys and get fresh. Meanwhile you two are planning to. . "

"To have our own girl's night!" Pihu completed the rest for him.

"Okay then, see you later." Raghav went away with Sanjay and Pihu whispered in her ears.

"Maybe you two can be couple."

"What do you mean?" Pallavi was in-fact shocked by the statement.

"Well, I mean if not for dating, at least for the Sangeet dance, you know!" 

"Pihu, that guy doesn't even know how to smile properly. And honestly I think . ."

"You think what?"

"Nothing. I don't think he likes me."

"And you seems to be upset about it!" she slightly teased Pallavi.

"Shut up Pihu or else I won't be coming for shopping with you tomorrow." Pallavi said in order to further stop her friend from teasing her. . .

"Nice choice bro . . " Sanjay said as soon as they got inside the room allocated for Raghav.

"What?" he was genuinely confused by the teasing smile on his friend's face.

"Well, you went towards a girl and talked to her. This is not the RR I know. There must be something special about that girl, Pallavi."

"Well there is but . ." Raghav sat down with a confused face.

"But what bro?" Sanjay was not getting his friend's thought process.

"Well, one thing is true that I feel an attraction towards her; something which I never felt for anyone else. I mean just look at her! Her innocent face, that angelic eyes, how can anyone dislike her!"

"Then what's the matter Raghav?"

"Well, the matter is  . .I need to know her more. Maybe this is just a mere attraction but the next moment I feel this urge to see her. I often forget to be stiff and strict whenever I am around her."

"You know what? You are just searching  for reasons to keep her away from you. Just wait until someone else comes in and claim her. You will then regret for not accepting your feelings."

Raghav gave a warning look to Sanjay.

"And you know what? That might happen soon. My colleagues from US are coming by today evening and one of them might end up proposing her before they leave. Even, Pihu herself told me once that if she was a boy she would have proposed Pallavi! As you said, no one can dislike her."

"I don't care. Let's just focus on your wedding, not mine." Raghav said in order to change the topic.

It was around 6 p.m in the evening when Pihu went to meet Pallavi in her room. She saw that she was writing something on her notepad . .

"Only a psycho like you can work during a wedding!" Pihu said with sigh.

"Arey baba, I am writing the details about the recent double - murder case that happened in Delhi. Almost done!"

"You still keep a record of all those crime related news?"

"Well you know I am crazy about murder mysteries! How can I miss any news related to something like that?"

She kept away her notepad and took out her phone!

"I will text Pluto now since we won't get any time later. After that I will go and get ready."

"By the way, how is he?" Pihu asked with concerned voice.

"He is fine. In fact much better. He was not so happy about me leaving home but now, he is almost okay. I already told maa to send him with me for the upcoming summer vacation. At least he will be relieved for two months!"

"And uncle and aunty?" She asked with a bit of hesitation.

"Don't even get me started. I just care about my brother at this point!"

Pihu knew that it was a sensitive topic for her. Hence she didn't persuaded it further. Later, she helped Pallavi to select her outfit for the girl's night. It was just the two of them and they decided to do it near the pool area after the dinner.

Sanjay and Pihu's family were having dinner in the hall. Their friends were also present there, so does Raghav and Pallavi. But they never really got a chance to greet each other since Raghav was with his friends and Pallavi was busy talking to Pihu's mother who was also close to her.

Nonetheless Raghav stole few glances at her every now and then. She was wearing a blue green traditional suit and he found her extremely pretty at that point.

 After half an hour, Sanjay told him that some of him friends who just arrived from U.S were coming to meet him. And within five minutes, he saw a group of men entering the hall.

They were around four to five people who were extremely noisy. As soon as they saw Sanjay they came towards his side and greeted his family members and Sanjay introduced them to Pihu and her family as well. Somehow, Raghav was not getting good vibes from this gang. It was then he noticed that one of them was eyeing towards Pallavi's side.

Not so good for you beta . . .He thought. Raghav saw that guy saying something in Sanjay's ears and then both of them moved towards Pallavi's side.

"Hey Pallavi, this is my friend Arjun." She looked up and Raghav saw both of them looking at each other with a smile.  . .

So most of you might have got an idea regarding who is Pluto by this point . . .
