Episode 4

Naomi's pov:
I wake up and straight away I hear movement I look to the side to see Nick sat on the spare mattress looking up at me. " Good morning sis how are you feeling?" Nick. I sit up so that we can talk and I say " I've been better." Naomi. " Do you rem-" Nick. I cut him off by saying " Yes I remember everything that happened last night." Naomi. " I'm going to murder Ben Hope." Nick. I give a small smile and see that Nick is fidgety so i ask " Whats up." Naomi. " We are not doing this I can deal with this on my own im more worried about you." Nick. " I'm still your sister Nick and I don't want anyone to know so I have today to be a broken fragile mess before school tomorrow so tell me, I need to be strong." Naomi. " Me and Charlie.... we kissed last night." Nick. "Omg what did he say afterwards?" Naomi. " We didn't really have time to talk because that was when Tara and Darcy found you." Nick. " So you haven't spoken to him at all?.... Nick you need to go round there right now and talk to him tell him how you feel and see if he feels the same." Naomi. " Mum wants a family day and its literally hammering it down outside I'll talk to him tomorrow." Nick. " No it needs to be now, me and mum will be okay you need to go get your crush now go off with you." Naomi. I make him stand and shove him downstairs and out the door making sure he didn't get his key before locking the door. Mum walks into the hallway " Good morning baby girl..... what are you upto?" Sarah. " I'm doing what needs to be done, Nicks gone round to see Charlie he should only be like an hour." Naomi. " Okay well come on i need you to take the other pill that I bought you too as a just in case." Sarah. " Yeah I'm coming just let me unlock the door now he's definitely gone." Naomi. A while later. " Okay since Nick isn't back yet you get to pick the first movie." Sarah. " I know its not Christmas but I really want to watch Home Alone 4." Naomi. " I'll allow it this once find it on the TV." Sarah. A little bit later Nick comes home soaked he goes upstairs to get a shower and change back into his pj's as we are having a movie day. When he comes back the movie is just about to finish so we re arrange on the sofa and Nick picks the next movie. On Monday me and Nick go to school a little bit earlier, I text Charlotte and tell her I will meet her at school. I have one goal to speak to Tara and Darcy about Saturday night. When I get there I sigh Tara and Darcy are there but so is Elle. I swallow my pride and go for it. " Hey girls." Naomi. " Hey Naomi, wheres Charlotte?" Elle. " Its still early she will be here, I actually wanted to talk to you two about Saturday night." Naomi. " What about Saturday Night?" Elle. " I was wondering if you two could keep it to yourselves no one else needs to know." Naomi. " Not even Elle or Charlotte." Darcy. " Darcy, its not for us to tell, we won't say anything to anyone." Tara. " You have to tell me now." Elle. " Someone just hurt me thats all can we drop it now im okay and I don't want to talk about it and I don't want Charlotte to know anything." Naomi. " Okay we can leave it i won't ask anymore." Elle. That day after school me and Charlotte stay like always but this week its the first Drama club, we start working on our Drama skills and Name games for the first rehearsal we also find out that we will be performing Annie. Auditions are in 2 weeks. All 5 of us walk to Truham and now me and Charlotte only have like 30 minutes to wait instead of 2 hours. Nick and Charlie come out and tell us that both of them will be playing the match at the weekend as one of the boys has an appointment. We decide that Charlie will ask Elle to come along with Tao and Isaac and then me and Charlotte will invite Tara and Darcy. The day after I walk into school with Charlotte and am surprised to see that Tara is the only one not there yet, we just got sat down when she comes in and sits down. " Hi." Darcy. Tara looks around nervously before kissing Darcy quickly. " Is this how its going to be are we officially 3rd, 4th and 5th wheel?" Elle. " Oh please no." Naomi. " No were just finally taking the opportunity to kiss as much as possible." Darcy. " No we're not." Tara. " Actually Tara, Darcy do you two want to come and watch Nick and Charlie play rugby on Saturday." Naomi. " Oh yeah Charlie asked me, Tao and Isaac about that last night." Elle. " We can all go together." Charlotte. After that was decided Tara and Darcy start bickering over Darcy not doing her work again and Elle goes on her phone, me and Charlotte just start doodling. That evening. " Mimmi, are you busy?" Nick. " Nah I need a break from those anyways, whats up?" Naomi. " Its Charlie, I'm worried he's so much smaller than some of the other boys in the rugby team, and he keeps avoiding tackles and like any physical contact, he just lets them past and well its rugby." Nick. " Okay let's remember that Charlie has been on reserve ever since joining the team, this is probably his first time so he just needs to over come the fear of getting hurt, and he may be smaller but with your help he will be able to tackle in no time. I think Charlie just needs someone to take sometime to just play with him and then he can see that he can do it and then become more confident. I know its abit cliche but practice makes perfect." Naomi. " So you think i should take some time to just show him what to do properly?" Nick. " Uh yeah..." Naomi. " Okay thanks sis." Nick. The next day at school. " Morning Tara, Darcy everyone is talking about you two." Naomi. " Yeah we know." Darcy. At lunch. " They kissed at Harry's party." Girl 1. " It will die down soon... won't it?" Elle. " I really, really hope so." Tara. " Tara i need to talk to you." Imogen. " Oh god, hi Imogen whats up?" Tara. " One minute I hear you and Nick Nelson are a thing, the next I hear your kissing some girl at Harry's party." Imogen. " Who told you her and Nick were a thing?" Naomi. " Tara literally kisses her girlfriend at a crowded party, and people are still asking her of she's dating a guy, she kissed once, when she was 13." Darcy. " So that girl is her girlfriend?" Imogen. " That girl, im. Right. Here!" Darcy. " Alright fine I was just asking, just so you know me and Nick Nelson are basically together, so I just needed to check." Imogen. " You and Nick Nelson are together?" Elle. I shake my head at her to let her know its not true. " Mhh mhm pretty much, look we look cute together." Imogen. " Yeah very cute." Elle. " So you and Nick are deffinately not...." Imogen. " IM A LESBIAN." Tara. "Okay, I'm not like homophobic, im an ally." Imogen. "Congratualations." Tara. " We thank you for your service." Darcy. That weekend. I walk upto the rugby match pitch to see Elle, Charlotte, Tara and Darcy there with who I assume or Tao and Isaac. " Oh Tao Isaac this is Naomi Nelson, Nicks twin." Elle. " Hello." Naomi. " Hi." Tao and Isaac. " Come on lets go see Charlie." Elle. " Hi omg I missed you!" Charlie. " I missed you too." Elle. They hug. " Uhmm excuse me where our hug?" Tao. " I see you all the time." Charlie. " Also this is Tara and Darcy." Naomi. " Yeah hi." Charlie. " Charlie!! My guy im not gonna lie to you im mainly here to get afaliated with the local gays, but you know know you and Nick Nelson are looking suspiciously couply." Darcy. " Oh my god please ignore her." Tara and Naomi. " We're friends, he's my friend." Charlie. " Well friend as in friend or friends as in friendsss." Darcy. " Darcyyyyyy." Elle and Charlotte. " Why ar-are there rumours?" Charlie. " No, no nothing but my gay intuition." Darcy. " Gay intuition?" Naomi. " I promise were totally platonic good friends." Charlie. " Disappointing but okay." Darcy. " Right go be with the team come on lets move outtttt." Tao. Tara and Darcy are walking beside me everyone else is infront. Whispers. " Hey you okay?" Tara. " I didn't know Ben would be here." Naomi. " Dont worry we got you." Tara. The other teams runs out. " Uhmm this could be a disaster." Naomi. " I really hope Charlie is okay." Charlotte. Cheering. " So does anyone remember the rules of rugby because I don't." Tao. " Nooo." All. " Ouch." Charlotte. " Is he okay can you see him?" Naomi. " Look he's fine." Tara. It starts raining and Naomi pulls out a rainbow umbrella. Charlie is tackled. " Charlieeee!!" Charlotte. The others start laughing. " Why are they laughing?" Tao. " Because they are dickheads." Naomi. " Get back up Charlie." Elle. " Yess Charlie, shake it off you got this." Tara. " Let it pass keep your head up." Naomi. " NELSON AND SPRING, NELSON AND SPRING, NELSON AND SPRING." Naomi/All. A while later and Charlie is tackled again this time hurt. " CHARLIE!!!" All. Nick just stares between Charlie, Ben's group and our group. " Okay thats it im calling it this rain is too dangerous everyone off the pitch!" Coach Singh. We all head inside to wait for Charlie and Nick. " Shoot we gotta go guys, we'll see you Monday, someone let us know how Charlie is.... please." Tara. " I'll put it in the group later." Charlotte. Isaac wonders off. " Yeah we're going to go too, stay safe you two." Elle. " We will, byeeeee." Naomi. " And then there were two." Charlotte. " I hope Charlie's okay." Naomi. " He will be." Charlotte. " Nick really does care about him you know." Naomi. " I know i could tell that." Charlotte. " Do you think we could be as close as them?" Naomi. " I think we already are." Charlotte. " Charlotte Spring? Why are you here i thought you liked girls?" Boy 1. I look at Charlotte and see her eyes start to go glassy. " Oi, leave her alone go find someone else to pick on." Naomi. " Ohhhh someone's protective you two an item?" Boy 1. " What if we are you jealous?" Naomi. " Charlotte whats happening, you two okay?" Charlie. " We're fine just dealing with some trash." Naomi. " Okay well Charlotte come on we need to get home." Charlie. " I'm coming I'll see you tomorrow." Charlotte. " Bye don't listen to them." Naomi. They leave and Naomi heads outside to wait for Nick. I see Harry and Ben and there lot stood near the tunnel so I stay back. I here there conversation though. " what you waiting for?" Harry. " I was waiting to see Nick." Imogen. " Ohhh finally ready to make a move?" Harry. " Just piss off Harry." Imogen. " Okay fine if your going to be a coward about it." Harry. " Oh hey." Nick. " Hey." Imogen. I zone out of the conversation and scroll on Instagram I get a message from Charlotte and I'm about to answer when I'm brought back into the conversation by Imogen saying " Maybe we could like, go out somewhere, together like a sort of date." Imogen. " Oh uh." Nick. " Go on mate." Harry. " Yeah I guess so, sure." Nick. Everyone splits off and me and Nick start walking home. " What was that?" Naomi. " Dont start okay I don't know what I was thinking." Nick. " I like Charlie alot but what can I say when everyone's eyes are on me." Nick. " I know its hard but your going to end up hurting them both, I know you don't want to do that you may need to pick." Naomi. " Ahhhh i cant i don't know what to do." Nick. " Maybe its time to talk to someone else about this i don't know what advice to give you anymore. I'm not good at advice." Naomi. " I think you did well i need to pick between Charlie and Imogen, although I think I already have." Nick. We get home and we go and sit at the kitchen table mum asks how the game went. " It got cancelled nearly halfway through because of the rain." Nick. " Charlie got injured so the coach called it." Naomi. I finally open up my phone to see my message from Charlotte again.

The next day I went to see Charlotte at the park as arranged, she was sat on a bench so I walked up to sit next to her. I let Nellie have a bit more lead. " No ones ever stuck up for me like you did yesterday." Charlotte. " Yeah, im sorry to hear that." Naomi. " Just to clear this up im a lesbian, no one else knows apart from People in my old school not even Charlie or Tori." Charlotte. " Well I won't tell anyone. I hate those boys for what they did they took away your right to come out on your own terms." Naomi. " I know I should've told you but I just didn't want you all to judge." Charlotte. " Tara and Darcy are lesbian's, Elle is transgender and im pansexual so why would we judge? No one else knows about me either apart from Nick not even the girls." Naomi. " You know ever since you stuck up for me I've had all these feelings and I don't know what they are." Charlotte. " Me too, although I'm kind of mixed up with Nick at the moment as well, he's figuring some things out." Naomi. " I think I am too, I've only had these feelings a couple of times.... I think I have a crush on you." Charlotte. " No this can't be im never going to hear the end of this, Nick is never going to let me live this down." Naomi. " Ho- how do we go about this because none of us are out yet and I don't think I'm ready." Charlotte. " Oh yeah no me neither, we could keep it a secret?" Naomi. " From everyone?" Charlotte. " Yeah from everyone." Naomi.
