episode 2

Naomi's pov Wednesday after school.
Its official exams have started I've had 2 exams so far one maths and one science today. I'm now sat with my mum and Nick at his parents evening because apparently Mr Ajayi wants to have a meeting with us. " I haven't been Nicks teacher for long but he's on track for solid grades in his GCSE's... as long as he keeps on focusing on his schoolwork, he'll be fine." Mr Farouk. " Thats good isn't it." Sarah. After visiting all of Nicks teachers we go to see Mr Ajayi in the art room. " Sir, you met my sister and this is our mum Sarah." Nick. " Ahh Ms Nelson its nice to meet you, as you know this is about the paris trap." Mr Ajayi. " Can I still go?" Naomi. " Yes ofcourse you can I've been speaking with Mr Barnes and the board and Mr Farouk another teacher that will be assisting me on the trip I just need your mum to sign and you to sign this waiver and we need a signature from your doctor Naomi to give us the permission we need." Mr Ajayi. " I can do that, I'll get an appointment, well I won't but you've got an appointment next week we can always just get it then." Sarah. " That would be great, and then if Nick can bring that in then all we need to do is on the morning we leave bring your medication with you Naomi and then as you get on the coach hand them to me and I will keep them in our room in a locked box that I have bought, and I will make sure you get one everyday." Mr Ajayi. " Thank you." Naomi. " Its okay Naomi this is why I got into teaching." Mr Ajayi. " Come on lets leave Mr Ajayi to his marking, she is going to be so excited now." Sarah. " Well just her exams to get through." Mr Ajayi. On the car ride home I get a message of Charlotte.
Charlotte Spring:
Its all kicking off here, Charlie hasn't done very well at his parents evening and Julio and Jane have said that Nick's not allowed around ours and Charlie's not around yours. Hopefully we can all get through this with each other.
I close my phone choosing to leave it at that and let Charlie tell Nick. Once we get home Nick and mum head into the kitchen and I head into the room. I come face to face with David. Brilliant just what I need. " Mum make me one." David. " Not if you ask like that David." Sarah. " Whats this no one happy to see me, dont worry I'll stay with dad next time." David. " Please do." Naomi. " Uhh behave we're all very happy that your back from uni." Sarah. " So whats been going on any of you got a boyfriend? Girlfriend?"  I'll take that as an obvious no." David. " Stop bothering them, David." Sarah. " I borrowed the Nintendo switch by the way." David. " Please don't tell him about Charlie." Nick. " Or Charlotte." Naomi. " Dont worry, I won't." Sarah. We both look at each other nervously before heading off upstairs to do some revision. A little bit later i get another message off Charlotte.
Charlotte Spring:
Charlie just told me your brother came home today, are you okay?
Naomi Nelson:
I'm just going to try and ignore him, he's such a d!ck but there's not much I can do about it now.
Charlotte Spring:
I really want to come round there and hug you but I feel like that wouldn't be appropriate seeing as Charlie can't do the same.
Naomi Nelson:
Thats really not a good idea with David being here, I don't want him to know about you, you would only get sh!t off him aswell. I'll see you at the bus stop in the morning.
I turn off my phone and concentrate on the English revision that I'm doing for the exam tomorrow.
The next morning:
Me and Nick walk to school this morning when we get to Truham I see Imogen and Ben kiss. I look to Nick who's seems to have already known I shake it off and walk to the bus stop, Charlotte is already there so we then walk upto school. We have an exam this morning so we actually have form this morning. Its wierd I don't like it. We walk in just behind Elle and wave to a couple of students. As we sit down Tara says excitedly. " Have you heard, year 11 prom is happening." Tara. " Oh my god. Prom?" Elle. Squeals " Im so excited." Darcy. " Yeah we can't tell." Naomi. " You could totally wear a suit you'd look amazing." Tara. " You mean we can be Fiona and Shrek?" Darcy. " Oml trust you Darcy." Charlotte. All: Laugh. " Its prom not Halloween." Tara. " Hey are you guys talking about prom?" Sahar. " Yeah." Tara. " Oh, so the headteachers put me in charge of organising it, and I'm kind of looking for some help. I'm really excited, but I dont think I can do this alone." Sahar. " Oh my god, yes! I'm so in!" Tara. " We all are." Naomi. " Do you wanna meet with us for lunch? We can start making a mood board?" Tara. " I mean, yeah. I've got some ideas already. I'm thinking classic." Sahar. " That ties in with my dress." Tara. " No, themes a great idea." Darcy. The bell goes and we all head off to the hall for our exam, let's get this over with. At lunch we are all sat around the table trying to sort out prom. " But then the blue will make, like, everyone's outfits look, like, amazing!" Tara. " Personally, I think prom should be pirate themed." Darcy. " Are we still going on about themes, we've told you it's a classic theme." Naomi. " To be honest a pirate themed prom sounds great. Ahhh help me these pirates are making me walk the plank." Charlotte. " Oh I don't know which one of you is worse." Naomi. " Hey if i could bring a sword to prom i'm totally up for it." Sahar. " No." Tara. " Please do not encourage them." Naomi. " Tao wants to meet up tonight." Elle. " Oh my god. say yes!!" Darcy. " No. Elle you need to put some distance between you both." Tara. " You could make your move. This is your chance!!" Darcy. " Wait what move?" Charlotte. " Yeah rewind I think we missed a couple of chapters."  Naomi. " Wait there's a boyyy?" Sahar. " There is a boy, but Elle told us she wanted to get over him." Tara. " Sometimes things change." Naomi. " He's my bestfriend, and....." Elle. " Give me your phone. I'll send him a text." Darcy. " Please do not give your phone to Darcy." Naomi. " Guys. Its fine. I'm going to the open evening tonight so I can't." Elle. " Okayyy." Sahar. " A photo booth a great idea." Tara. " But miss already said we don't have the budget for one." Sahar. " Well it doesn't have to be anything fancy you could just get a cardboard box or something." Naomi. The bell goes and we all head back to the study hall. After school I wlak down the road and me and Nick walk home together. Somethings up with Nick, he's quieter than usual he's got a face like thunder and I don't know. I just have a feeling somethings wrong. " Nick whats up? Are you okay?" Naomi. " Am I like Ben?" Nick. " No ofcourse not, why?" Naomi. " He said something today whilst we were in the study hall and I don't know i started thinking what if he's right?" Nick. " Hes not right, you would never hurt anyone the way he hurt me or Charlie. I thought you weren't aloud to talk in the study hall?" Naomi. " Technically were not we got put in time out." Nick. " I know its hard but you'll just have to try and ignore him dont let him start getting you into trouble." Naomi. " Yeah your right, how are you so smart?" Nick. " I'm not i just know to ignore people. Also for the record I'm so glad we started our exams earlier at least were not having an exam everyday." Naomi. " I dont pick the exam timetables." Nick. We get home and we go to our rooms and start doing revision. I'm halfway through my science revision for Monday when I hear " Get out." Nick. I head to his room to see whats going on. " Can you get out? I'm trying to study." Nick. " Charlie? Who's Charlie?" David. " Give that back." Nick. " David just leave him alone, give him his phone back and get out." Naomi. " Is Charlie your girlfriend?" David. " No stop it." Nick. " Give him back his phone David." Naomi. " Shes sending 3 hearts, I think you might be in there." David. " David." Nick. " Give him back his phone." Naomi. " God fine, here." David. David then starts messing with Nick. " Seriously." Nick. " So boring..... uhm if you do have a girlfriend, I wanna know about it. She needs my approval." David. " Go be an ass somewhere else." Naomi. He walks out and away from the room. " Are you okay?" Naomi. " Yeah I'll be fine, thanks for your help. I'm going to get back to studying." Nick. A little bit later. " Hey im going out to walk Nellie and meet up with Charlie he snuck out are you gonna be okay here with David on your own?" Nick. " I'll lock my door until you get back." Naomi. " Please don't you may have an adhd outburst and I don't want you hurting yourself." Nick. " I'll be fine until you get back, David would just shout and make it worse." Naomi. " Fair point I've got an idea, go round to Charlie's sit with Charlotte a bit just so I know you'll be safe." Nick. " Good idea I'll go now and call her as I'm walking I'll take some revision notes with me." Naomi. I go round to Charlotte's making sure not to tell anyone that Charlie has snuck out of the house. Me and Charlotte work on our science revision for Monday. The weekend was hell, me and Charlotte aren't meeting up alot because of Nick and Charlie so we were at home with David, which was hell. Its now Monday and once again we have walked to Truham, Nick is walking into school as I walk to the bus stop to meet with Charlotte. I see Nick try and talk to Imogen but it doesn't go that well and they part on bad terms. I sigh and just walk up to school with Charlotte. We always have exams in a morning don't ask me why we just do so Science is this morning. I'll talk to Nick later. We don't have rugby or drama club as they didn't want us have too much on. However that means once we finish exams we have like one week before the performances start. To say I'm stressed is an understatement. Again me and Nick are walking home but Charlotte is with us because we are studying together. " Your quiet again, whats up?" Naomi. " I totally flunked in my maths exam this morning I dont know what happened I just panicked it was all a mess and I couldn't think or read or write." Nick. " I'm sure you didn't do that bad, when in an exam just remember to breathe, you'll get through this." Naomi. " Shes right i feel like that everytime I go into an exam but it passes after abit if I breathe, panicking makes it worse." Charlotte. We get home and all head upstairs to our rooms. After a while there's a knock at the door, Nick says he will go and answer it so me and Charlotte carry on with our revision. " Hey, just to let you know Charlotte Charlie's snuck round here so when you leave take him with you." Nick. " He is going to be in so much trouble." Charlotte. " He says he doesn't care about that." Nick. " Thats sweet, stupid but sweet." Naomi. Nick leaves and we get back to revision for tomorrow, yep I completely forgot this week we have an exam every day, fun. A little bit later Nellie runs into my room, I look down at Nicks door to see it open and then I hear Charlie talking to David. I tell Charlotte to wait here because I don't want David to see her, she seems to understand. " What was your name, sorry?" David. " You don't have to answer that." Naomi. " I'm Charlie. And you're......" Charlie. " Your Charlie, right. Um, I'm David. Sorry." David. " No you're not you do this all the time." Naomi. " I'm Nick and Naomi's older brother." David. " Yeah." Charlie. " Nice to meet you." David. " Nice to meet you." Charlie. " Okay you've both met now leave  David does Nick even know you're in here?" Naomi. " And where did you two meet?" David. " Ffs just get out David whats with the 25 thousand questions." Naomi." We're in the same form at school." Charlie. " What are you two doing in here?" Nick. " Nellie ran into my room and then I heard David and Charlie talking so came in here to make sure David was being nice." Naomi. " There he is. Um.... I was just getting acquainted with, um.... with Charlie here." David. " I've told him to leave multiple times." Naomi. " Yeah, well, we're busy, so you can go away now." Nick. " You heard him out." Naomi. " You okay?" Nick. " Yeah." Charlie. " I just, I just wanted to meet the guy that, you know, turned my little brother gay." David. I honestly could have punched him square in the nose right there. " What?" Nick. " I mean, I should've always known you'd turn out to be gay." David. " Im bi, actually, and so what?" Nick. " I'm bi actually so.... look, if you're gonna be gay, at least admit you're gay." David. Me and Charlie just look at each other nervously. " Oh see, this is exactly why I didn't wanna tell you!" Nick. They both head out of the room as me and Charlie go to follow Charlotte come up to the door. " I heard shouting." Charlotte. I look between them before heading down the stairs. " Too late now." David. " This is ridiculous." Nick. " I'm not allowed to be skeptical?" David. " No!! You're not!" Nick. " why." David. " I knew you'd be like this!"  Nick. " You had to keep pushing, you couldn't just leave it alone could you David!!" Naomi. " What am I being like Nick?" David. " Like a homophobic prick!" Nick. " Woah you three, what is going on?" Sarah. " Why did you tell him about Charlie?" Nick. " I didn't darling." Sarah. " Mum didn't tell me. You left a picture of you two kissing on your bedroom wall." David. " Why do you keep going in my room?" Nick. " Come on! Mum, he's saying he's bi. What a load of absolute bullshit." David. " David, please don't sware." Sarah. " He can't even admit he's gay. I mean i bet you haven't told dad yet, have you?"  David. Me, Nick and mum just look between each other. " Oh my god. Imagine what dad's gonna say." David. " He's such.... He's such a dick!" Nick. " I'm just being realistic." David. " Right boys that's enough, David in the kitchen now." Sarah. " Should we go?" Charlie. " I think that's for the best." Nick. " Just think only a week and exams are over and we can spend all day together practicing in the hall for Annie." Naomi. " It actually can't come quick enough." Charlotte. " Bye." All. " Should we get this over with?" Nick. " Lets do this." Naomi. " You had no right going through his room." Sarah. " Mum that was an absolute shambol." Nick. " Dont worry Nicky I'm going to get you another lock for your door, its getting late lets just wind down go to your rooms and stay there." Sarah. " Right good night Nick goodnight mum." Naomi. " Night David no okay!!" David.
Charlotte's pov:
When we get home auntie Jane hears the door close, I push Charlie up the stairs so she doesn't see him. " Charlie." Auntie Jane. " No its Charlotte." Charlotte. " Ahh were you at Naomi's?" Auntie Jane. " Yeah I was." Charlotte. " Was Charlie there at Nicks?" Auntie Jane. " I didn't see him." Charlotte. " hi mum, Charlotte. What's going on?" Charlie. " When did you get back?" Jane. " Not long ago and before you ask I was at Tao's studying, mainly doing my coursework." Charlie. " Right I'll believe you, thousands wouldn't go get ready for bed both of you." Jane. When we get upstairs I get ready for bed im just about to get in bed when Charlie comes in. " Thankyou for saving me then." Charlie. " I didn't want you and Nick to go any longer than you had to, go to bed and get your coursework done so you and Nick can see each other again." Charlotte.
Naomi's pov:
The rest of the week is just exam after exam after exam. I'm so glad to get to Friday afternoon. One more main exam and then i'm done. I already did  my drama exam and my childcare exam and my p.e exam. One left which was my French oral exam which was Monday afternoon. That being said that weekend Charlotte comes round to mine and we start practicing the show again seeing as our exams are nearly over. Its dinner time and Nick and David are upstairs. " So who's this i did notice her the other day but I was abit preoccupied." David. " Go away David, we're busy." Naomi. " Is she your bestfriend?" David. " David just go away." Naomi. " This is mum's house so no i won't go away actually." David. " Just leave them alone, go out and find some mates or something." Nick. " All my mates are back at uni so." David. " Hey you know what maybe we could stay after school and practice I'll just go home again." Charlotte. " No you shouldnt have to." Naomi. " Oh for crying out loud I've just walked through the door, Charlotte Naomi go and practice outside and David leave them alone for crying out loud." Sarah.
