Episode 7

Naomi's pov:
The next week went by without a hitch, we all hung out after school. On Thursday me and Nick were sat outside Truham, I was waiting for Charlotte. Christian, Sai and Otis came up to us.
Sai: Hi Nick, Naomi we are all trying to plan to go to the cinema this weekend you two should come.
Otis: Harry and Ben aren't coming.
Christian: You should bring your friends Charlie and uhm.....
Naomi: Charlotte?
Christian: Yeah thats the one, Charlotte.
Nick: We'll see why don't you text me more and I'll ask Charlie today.
Naomi: And I'll ask Charlotte.
Sai: We were thinking a horror movie.
Naomi: We might come but watch a different movie, me and Charlotte aren't into horrors.
Charlotte: Hey Naomi you coming?
I was so deep in conversation that I hadn't seen the bus pull up or all the students getting off of it. I grab my bag say a quick goodbye to Nick and run off towards Charlotte.
Naomi: So the boys are thinking of going to the cinema on Saturday and I was thinking we could go too, just watch a different movie because they are watching a horror and I know me and you aren't really into horrors. There's a new Disney movie out we could watch that?
Charlotte: Ohh I love Disney.
Naomi: I know me too.
Charlotte: What about Charlie?
Naomi: Nick's going to ask him to go with him and the boys, Harry and Ben aren't going.
Charlotte: Yes, Yes, Yes.
On Saturday Charlotte's pov:
Me and Charlie were getting ready Uncle Julio was dropping us off in about an hour. Tori came in.
Tori: Where are you going?
Charlotte: I'm going out with Naomi, Nick and Charlie and some of Nick's friends.
Tori: What??
Charlotte: I'm going to the cinema with Naomi?
Tori: No not that the other thing.
Charlotte: Charlie's going to the cinema with Nick?
Tori: Nooo the other thing.
Charlotte: Oh Nicks friends are going too.
Tori: Come with me, Charles!! What are you doing.
Charlie: Nick's invited us to the cinema with his friends.
Tori: Oh okay.
Charlie: What??
Tori: No nothing, glad Nick's such a good... friend.
Charlie: Well actually me and Nick, were sort of going out.
Tori: Knew it, Called it.
Charlie: you can't tell anyone he's not even out to his mum.
Tori: I know, I know I'm happy for you.
Charlotte: I'm going to go and get my bag and my shoes on meet you downstairs in about 10 minutes?
10 minutes later.
Charlotte: CHARLIE!!! Come on we're leaving now.
Charlie: I'll see you later, I'll be okay.
Tori: Okay bye love you LOOK OUT FOR EACH OTHER.
At the cinema.
Julio: I'll pick you both up at 10, is that okay?
Charlie and Charlotte: yep.
Julio: Both of you if any of those boys says anything, does anything nasty you just call me, okay?
Charlie: Nick and Naomi are going to be there.
Charlotte: we'll be fine.
Me and Charlie get out of the car and see Nick and Naomi stood there waiting for us.
Nick&Naomi: Hi.
Charlie&Charlotte: Hi.
Nick and Charlie hug and Me and Naomi hug just as friends for all Nick and Charlie knew.
We all walk to the cinema me and Naomi walking behind Nick and Charlie.
Charlie: Uhmm, are you sure your friends are going to be okay with me being here?
Nick: Yeah of course, you'll be fine I told you Harry and Ben aren't coming. What are you nervous?
Charlie: I don't know they all probably think I'm this like gay nerd.
Nick: Well you kind of are a gay nerd.
Naomi: Nickkk! Ugh don't say that. Oh lord help us.
Charlie: Dont worry I got this, shut up rugby lad.
We all carried on walking to the cinema and carried on talking about anything and everything. We see the group of boys waiting near the cinema, we hear a comment that makes my heart drop.
Harry: All right, look. Nick and his best mate.
Laughter.
Harry: Why did he even bring him?
Nick: Oh.
Harry: Oi, just look at him behind him. Blending in with the girls.
Charlotte: Dont listen to him.
Naomi: Great he's in one of those moods.
Nick: I'm really sorry I didn't think they would be here.
Naomi: I'm so glad we're watching a different movie.
Charlie: I kinda wish I was coming with you two now.
Charlotte: Hey you got this, Nick will be with you just stay calm, or we can just go home.
Charlie: Nope I'm not going to give him the satisfaction.
Naomi: Come on our movie is starting soon.
Charlotte: Byee Charlie see you later Nick.
Nick: Have fun you two look after each other.
Naomi: Yeah you two too look after eachother.
Charlie: Meet back up here afterwards.
Me and Naomi go to watch the movie we hold hands through the whole movie, it was nice to just be us without worrying.
Naomi's pov.
Me and Charlotte both really enjoyed the movie. After we walked out into the hallway and saw the boys apart from Charlie and Nick.
Naomi: whispers wheres Nick and Charlie??
Sai: Harry said some not very nice things to Charlie. He left.
Otis: Nick went after him, they went outside.
Charlotte: I'm going to make sure he's okay.
Naomi: I'm coming with you. Nick what are you doing?
Nick: Julio is on his way and Charlie doesn't want me around.
Charlotte: What do you mean? Of course Charlie wants you around.
Naomi: Maybe you should go outside to Charlie and I'll talk some sense into him.
Charlotte: Sounds good I'll text you later and see you Monday.
Naomi: Yeah sounds good bye.
Nick: If i had known they would have been here i wouldn't have come, we should have just left.
Naomi: Get it together this isn't your fault.
Nick: No I know exactly who to blame for this.
Nick storms back into the cinema and up to the boys who are all laughing and talking he turns Harry around so they are facing each other.
Nick: Go on then what your problem with Charlie.
Harry: He doesn't exactly fit in with us does he? Laughter. He can't play rugby, He's got this wierd friend that won't leave me alone. You can't just bring some gay boy into our group and expect us all to immediately love him.
I look behind Harry at all the other boys and see that they're all laughing which is only encouraging Harry, everyone except Christian, Sai and Otis.
Nick: So this is a problem with him being gay?
Naomi: Harry you need to grow up, sexuality doesn't matter. Everyone should be able to be themselves.
Harry: Come on none of us are being homophobic.
Nick: JUST SHUT UP HARRY!! You made him so uncomfortable with all your gay questions.
Harry: Someone really needs to learn to take a joke.
Naomi: But you weren't joking though were you?
Nick: you just saw the perfect opportunity to make someone feel miserable and humiliated as usual.
Harry: I'm sure he can deal with it, he's probably used to it by now. Laughter, Harry shoves Nick backwards. Aw. You're getting so angry. You can't help wanting to protect him, can you? Because he's a pathetic. Little. F@g.
Before I can react Nick punches Harry in the face. There is a chorus of ohh's before Harry pins Nick against the wall. I try to pull Harry off him but Nick trys to throw a punch at Harry and hits me in the face.
Boy 1: RUNN THERE CALLING SECURITY.
Nick manages to turn them both around so now he has Harry pinned against the wall. Me, Christian, Sai and Otis are the only ones still there. We eventually split them up and all run just before security show up. I pull Nick round the back and call mom to come and pick us up. Harry and the others ran off.
Nick: Was mum pissed.
Naomi: She doesn't know yet.
Nick: Omg your bleeding, did Harry hit you?
Naomi: No you did.
Nick: Oh right, shit sorry.
Naomi: I know you didn't mean too, you meant to get Harry, I can forgive you he was being horrible about Charlie.
Nick: Yeah im not sure I want to be friends with them anymore.
Naomi: Christian, Sai and Otis are nice.
Nick: Yeah but there too in Harry's shadow.
Naomi: So are you, I am proud of you though sticking up for Charlie like that.
Nick: I always will, im so different when I'm around him.
Naomi: Your telling me.
Nick: I'm not hanging around or talking to Harry anymore, do you think I could join the group?
Naomi: Thats not up to me, it might be easier if you weren't always winding Tao up the wrong way.
Nick: Hey I try.
Naomi: Well you may need to try harder, mums here come on.
Sarah: What happened to you two?
Nick: Harry and Ben were there, I didn't think they would be.
Sarah: Ben, did he do this to you Naomi?
Naomi: No, Nick did this to me.
Nick: I didn't mean to before you go all how could you.
Naomi: Harry was being mean about Charlie.
Nick: He's been like it all day snidey comments here and there all about Charlie being gay. So in the end I just hit him. I'm just so angry at myself for not seeing that all my friends... suck.
Sarah: Sweetheart you know fighting is not the answer.
Nick: I know. He just used a really bad word.
Sarah: I see... Charlie's a really special friend isn't he?
Nick: Yeah, he is.
When we get home Mum helps us clean ourselves up and we go to bed. On Monday morning we head to Truham Nick heads straight into school and I wait near the bus stop for Charlotte. She and Charlie get off the bus and both their faces contour into shock.
Charlie: Naomi what happened?
Naomi: All i can tell you is Harry did this to me, you should really talk to Nick he'll explain the rest, i'm sure. Charlie heads into school and me and Charlotte head upto school. On Thursday Elle tells us that she accidentally outed Nick to Tao. The look of fear in her eyes, I couldn't be mad at her if I tried. She tells us that she will try her best to make it right. On Friday we are sat at the table during lunch a video comes through on my phone its a video of a fight breaking out at Truham, Harry and Tao first. Then my worst nightmare Nick steps in to break it up, I pocket my phone and run from the table straight to the drama studio, miss lets me sit in there until the end of lunch then I have to face my last two classes Music and Drama. When I get home Nick is there.
Naomi: Hi Nick everything okay?
Nick: I've hurt Charlie.
Naomi: What do you mean?
Nick: He's beginning to ignore me, and I don't know what to do.
Naomi: Charlie will be okay and he'll stop ignoring you eventually. Just give him some time and space and then when the time is right show him how much you care about him. I mean he probably already knows but he may just need reminding.
Nick: You reckon?
Naomi: I know.
Me and Nick watch a movie before mum gets home and orders pizza. I get a message off Charlotte that night.
Charlotte Spring:
Hey can we meet at the park on Sunday? I need to talk to you.
I reply with a " yes." Before going to sleep. On Saturday me and Nick go to the mall to get a few bits. On Sunday me and Charlotte met up at the park.
Charlotte: Hi, this whole thing between Charlie and Nick isn't going to effect us is it?
Naomi: I don't want it to but I think we have to face that it might have some impact on us.
Charlotte: Promise we stick it out then together.
Naomi: I think it would be best if we took some time, let them figure their problems out and then maybe it wouldn't be as awkward.
Charlotte: i get what your saying but I don't like it.
Naomi: Yeah I don't like it either but we can still be friends and hopefully it won't be for long.
Charlotte: I'm crossing my fingers and my toes. I'm gonna miss you.
Naomi: I'll miss you too, do you want a kiss? Who knows the next time we'll get to be this close.
Charlotte: Are you sure?
Naomi: Look around there's no one about.
They kiss.
Naomi: I'll see you tomorrow, and I will still wait for you at the bus stop.
Charlotte: Yeah, see you tomorrow.
I walk home with a heavy heart this is going to break me.
Sarah: Hey Mimmi, how was the park?
Naomi: It was okay.
Sarah: You wanna talk about it?
Naomi: Not really mom, thanks im just gonna put on a movie.
Sarah: Do you want to eat with Me and Nick?
Naomi: Nah, I'm not hungry.
I head upstairs and stick on beauty and the beast. I must fall asleep because I wake up and its like 7, thats me not sleeping well tonight. Knock on door.
Nick: Hey, can I come in?
Naomi: Yeah you might as well.
Nick: What's going on?
Naomi: Don't be mad, and you can't say anything but me and Charlotte we've kind of been dating, with everything going on we've decided it's better to take a break and just be friends. It's for the best and we know that but it still hurts.
Nick: You guys did that because of me and Charlie?
Naomi: You're my brother and Charlie is Charlotte's cousin we would just end up arguing the whole time. Look you are going to show Charlie how much he means to you and you are going to get back together and we will the get back together too. It's just a small hurdle but it does hurt.
Nick: Well now you know how I feel.
Charlotte's pov:
When I get back home I go straight upstairs and put on Beauty and the beast, halfway through Charlie comes in.
Charlie: Hey you okay?
Charlotte: yeah I'm fine, no I'm not actually me and Naomi have decided to take a break.
Charlie: Wait you two were together?
Charlotte: Yeah you knew I was bi...
Charlie: But I didn't know about Naomi...
Charlotte: You can't say anything not even to Nick I don't think even he knows yet I'm not sure.
Charlie: Hey I won't say anything. Please tell me this isn't because of me and Nick?
Charlotte: That would be a lie and I can't lie to you you know that.
Charlie: I'm so sorry Charlotte.
Charlotte: At the risk of sounding like Nick no s word. It's just better this way for everyone.
Charlie: Even I hope it's not forever I just can't bring myself to tell Nick how I'm really feeling.
Charlotte: And how are you feeling?
Charlie: Nope I'm not telling you, I'll make you a deal put tangled on and I'll watch it with you.
Charlotte: Deal this is nearly finished now.
