Your love has imprisoned me like a caged animal.
I long for your attention-
even when it means I'm locked behind doors-
but I desire freedom more.
I miss the way sand felt under my toes as waves kissed my feet.
I want to be loved in public.
I shouldn't feel like a secret.
Please give me the spare key my love,
I no longer need you to hold it for me.
I'll kiss you on the way out and
hope the excitement in my eyes is from the thought of sunlight on my skin,
not the hope of you to coax me back.
