In 2008, Logan took over HPG after Mitchum had a heart attack and decided to retire. That was the same year he met Abigail. In 2010 they got married and made the decision to move to Boston. A year later, on March 19th 2011, Annabelle Grace Huntzberger was born. Their marriage wasn't good. They tried to make it work but in 2012 they decided that it was time to let it go and they filed for divorce. A 'harmless' one time thing between them in March of 2013 led to their second daughter. Josephine Mae Huntzberger was born on December 3rd 2013.

After graduating from Yale, Rory went on to write for Hugo Grey's online magazine. After the 2008 elections, she was offered a permanent job at the Hartford courant. In 2012 she was made a managing editor there and in June of 2015 she got a call she never expected. She was offered the job of editor in chief of the Boston Globe. That wasn't an opportunity she was gonna miss out on so she packed up and moved to Boston. At the time she was in a relationship with Nick Swanson who actually happened to live in Boston. He was more than a little happy that Rory was moving there, even if her decision to move didn't actually have anything to do with him and everything to do with her career.

June 2015- Logan's POV.

It was a regular Monday morning, and it was a switch day, which meant that although my daughters (who were 4 and 1 and a half at the time) would be waking up at their mother's house, I would be picking them up from preschool and daycare. They would spend the next 2 days with me. It took a while but Abigail and I did work out a schedule that worked well for us. The kids would spend 2 days with her, then 3 with me, then 2 with her. The next week we would switch it. So 2 days with me, 3 with her, and then 2 with me. Mornings without my kids were much more relaxed. I woke up, had breakfast while I checked my emails, went to the gym, and then went home to shower before going into work.

On days that I had my kids I left work at 2 to go pick up them up. The first stop was the daycare center which was only a 5 minute drive from my office.

"Hi Josie!" I said as I picked up my daughter and kissed her cheek. "I missed you"

"Daddy this" she showed me the toy lion she was holding

"Very nice" I said and took the toy from her to put it back in the box. "Should we go get your big sister?"

"Belle Belle!"

"Yeah, let's go get Belle"

I put Josie in the car and we drove the 20 minutes to Annabelle's preschool.

"Daddy!" She ran over to me as soon as I walked into the classroom.

"Hi princess" I picked her up and hugged her tight before putting her back down.

"Daddy, I made a tower with blocks"

"That's great, Belle"

"And then we knocked it down and it crashed really loud" she giggled. I never really understood why kids found certain things funny, but as long as she was happy, it didn't matter.

"How loud?" I asked her

"Like when Josie screams"

"That's pretty loud"

"Yeah"

Rory's POV-

I officially moved to Boston on a Thursday in June of 2015, and I had until the next Monday to unpack before a had to start working. On Friday afternoon, I was in my new house with my boyfriend of 11 months, Nick, who was helping me unpack. Although if I'm being honest he was less of a help than he was a welcome distraction.

"What are you doing?" I asked when I felt Nick's arms wrap around my waist from behind.

"Nothing" Nick said. He gently turned me around to face him, and softly pressed his lips against mine. "Ok, maybe something"

"I should've known better than to ask you to help me" I said. I knew he was just gonna distract me, but I hadn't seen him in a couple of weeks and I missed him. "You're just a distraction"

Nick leaned forward to kiss me again. "A good distraction?"

"A very good distraction"

"Good"

Logan's POV-

On weekends that I had my kids , I liked to bring them to see my family in Hartford. However getting 2 little kids ready for a 2 hour car ride was easier said than done.

"Daddy, let's go!" Belle said

"Hold on" I said and continued to go through my list quietly to myself as my daughter pulled on my arm. "Diaper bag, extra clothes, snacks, water bottles, pacifier..." I was pretty sure that we had everything so I put the kids in the car and we headed to Hartford.

About an hour into the drive, Belle said the thing that I could go the rest of my life without hearing from a kid in the car. "Pee!"

'Why bother having her go to the bathroom before we leave if we're gonna have to stop anyway?' I knew from where we are that the nearest place to stop was about 15 minutes away. "I'll stop at the gas station"

"Now?" She asked

"In a few minutes"

"Daddy" Belle said

"What?"

"Pee"

"I know sweetheart, but there's no bathroom here"

"Why?"

"Because we're on the highway" I told her. "In a few minutes we'll be off the highway and I'll stop at the gas station"

"Ok"

Rory's POV-

On Sunday morning I woke up in Nick's apartment, to him softly running his fingers through my hair. I opened my eyes and turned my head to look at him.

"Morning, beautiful" he said and softly pressed his lips against mine. "How'd you sleep?"

"I don't know if I would call that sleep" I chuckled a little. "I mean, it was a lot of things, but sleep wasn't one of them"

"We slept a little" he said. "And I'm sorry, but this is the first time since we've been together that I've seen you for more than 2 days at a time"

For the almost year that we'd been together, we pretty much only saw each other on weekends since we both worked. So either Nick would go to Hartford and spend the weekend there, or I'd go to Boston. And I'm the 2 weeks leading up to my moving, we hadn't seen each other at all. "I know, I missed you too"

"I missed you more" he said and kissed me before I could say anything.

"It's not fair when you do that"

"I know" he said. "So what do you want to do today?"

"I think we should stay here" I told him. We'd never really had to option to stay in bed together all day, and do nothing, but now we did. I was unpacked, it was Sunday, and neither of us had anywhere we needed to be.

"All day?" Nick asked

"All day"

"I love it" he said. "And I love you"

"I love you too"
