Rory's POV-

The first few weeks after I moved to Boston were busy. I found myself having very little time for anything other than work. I knew going it that it would be that was at the start, and I explained it to Nick, but I still felt like he was starting to get annoyed by our lack of time together.

One Friday in July, 3 weeks after I moved, I actually got to leave work at a normal hour for the first time. So after leaving work I headed to Nick's apartment. We'd seen each other a couple of times a week, but that was the first time since I moved that were really got to spend time together. So I found myself sitting in Nick's kitchen, eating dinner.

"By the way, I got your mom's wedding invitation today" he told me. My mom and Luke had gotten engaged on the previous Christmas and we're getting married the next January.

"Oh, aren't they pretty?" I asked. I was really excited that my mom and Luke were finally getting married, and every little wedding detail made me more excited.

"Yes, and I payed extra attention to how pretty it is" he said sarcastically.

"Ok, I know you don't care about what the invitation looks like, but I'm really excited about the whole thing. Including the invitations"

Nick chuckled.

"What?"

"Nothing. You're just cute when you're excited" he said. "And I need to talk to you about something and I don't think you're gonna like it"

"What's going on?"

"Look, I know that you're at a new job, and it's normal for you to be as busy as you are, but I don't think it's working like this"

"What?"

"I can't handle the 20 minute coffee dates, and quick phone calls, and the not seeing you because you're working all the time"

"Nick, you knew it was gonna be like this at start. I told you it would be like this"

"I know, but I miss you"

"I miss you too, and it's not gonna be like this forever. You know that"

"I just don't like feeling neglected, ok?"

"I know, and I'm sorry, but I can't blow this incredible opportunity that I've been given just because my boyfriend feels a little neglected"

"Than maybe I shouldn't be your boyfriend anymore"

'Woah. Harsh'. I know that my reaction could've been better, but Nick had just taken this from a normal conversation to what was sounding to me like a breakup. "Fine" I stood up and without saying another word, I left.

Logan's POV-

Around 2am, I was woken up by Josie crying. I got up and went into her room.

"Daddy" she reached for me to pick her up.

I picked her up and held her close to me. "What's wrong, princess?"

"Mine" she said, still crying. When Josie was born, Honor bought her a small grey blanket with an elephant head and arms. It was very soft, and Josie was very attached to it, and for some reason it didn't have a name, she just called it 'mine'.

I glanced in the crib and the blanket wasn't there. She'd fallen asleep on the couch and I moved her to her room, so I figured that I forgot to put it in the crib with her and it was still on the couch. I tried to put her down so I could go find it, but she wouldn't let me, so I took her downstairs with me to find the blanket. I went over to where Josie had fallen asleep and that's where I found her blanket. I put her back to sleep before getting back into bed myself.
