Logan's POV-
A week after Rory moved in with me and the girls was the Fourth of July. When I woke up, Rory was already awake and sitting up, working on her laptop.
"Ace, do you ever stop working?" I asked.
"I'm sorry, I just have to finish this one thing and then I'm done for the day"
I sat up and kissed her. "You're minty" I said as I got out of bed.
"I brushed my teeth"
A little while later we were all sitting in the kitchen, eating breakfast.
"Who's coming?" Belle asked. We were having a barbecue for the Fourth of July. It was be the first time that both mine and Rory's families would all be together, and I think we were both a little nervous about that.
"Grandma and grandpa" I told her. "Aunt Honor and uncle josh, the twins, and Rory's family is coming"
"I don't know them"
"That's ok" I said. "You'll meet them"

Rory's POV-
Throughout the afternoon, people started showing up. Honor, Josh, their kids, and Logan's parents were all there and everyone was on the backyard, having a good time. Around 3:30 the doorbell rang and I went to open the door.
"Hey" mom said.
"We brought pie" Luke said
"Thank you" I said. "So, I can take that and everybody's in the backyard. Straight through there and out the glass door"
Luke and April walked out to the back door, but my mom followed me into the kitchen. "This is a nice place"
"Yeah. It's kinda crazy today though"
"Well that's the Fourth of July for you"
"That and the fact that there are 6 kids here. Plus dad's coming so there's gonna be more soon" I said. I turned around and mom was looking out the window that overlooked the backyard. "What are you looking at?"
"Which ones are Logan's?" She asked
I moved to stand next to her, and tried to spot the girls outside. "Ok, super long blonde hair, standing next to Mitchum. That's Belle" I said. Belle was 5 years old and apparently had never had a hair cut, so her hair was past her waist. "And sitting on the grass with the dog is Josie"
"They're cute"
"Yeah, they're great"
Just then Belle came running into the kitchen. "Daddy said to ask you for the thing"
"What thing?" I asked
"I don't remember"
"Ok...what does he need it for?"
"To cook with"
I looked out the window at Logan. "Was it tongs?"
Belle nodded. I gave her the tongs and she went back outside. Shortly after that my dad, Carrie, and their kids arrived.
Around 5, the kids all started saying they were hungry, so Logan started grilling.
Logan's POV-
I was standing by the grill, watching the girls play with their cousins, when Honor walked over "Hi"
"Hey"
"So...does you and Rory moving in together mean a proposal is coming soon?" She asked. She wasn't the type of person to beat around the bush. If she had something to say, she said it. Or in this case, something to ask.
