Halloween 2016:

Logan's POV-

I was in the living room with the girls who were very excitedly showing Rory their Halloween costumes. Belle was dressed up as Wonder Woman, and Josie originally wanted to be an elephant, but we couldn't find a costume so she went with Minnie Mouse.

"Alright, go bring me your shoes" I said after putting Josie's Minnie Mouse ear headband on her head.

"Trick or treat! Trick or treat! Trick or treat!" Belle said excitedly as she ran into the living room. "Where's Rory?"

"She's getting dressed" I told her. "She'll be down in a minute"

The girls had asked Rory to come trick or treating with us but she had to work.

Once the girls were ready, I took them trick or treating. The girls were having fun for a while until some teenager jumped out at us from behind a bush, wearing a crazy mask. After that the girls decided that they didn't want to trick or treat anymore, so we went home.

Later that night, after the girls were in bed, I was sitting on the couch looking at my phone when Rory got home. "Hey, how was trick or treating?"

"It was great until some teenage jackass decided it was fun to scare little kids" Logan said. "How was work?"

"It was work" Rory said. "Nothing special"

Thanksgiving 2016:

Rory's POV-

Logan and I decided to invite both of our families to have Thanksgiving dinner at our house.

I was sitting in the backyard with my mom and Honor, watching the kids play.

"So how are things going with you guys?" Honor asked me.

"Me and Logan?" I asked. Honor nodded. "Things are good"

"Good as in good, or good as in I'll get to be a grandmother sometime this decade?" Mom asked. She really wanted grandkids and it wasn't a secret. I'd also been with Logan for almost a year and a half at that point, so it was becoming clear to everyone- even if we never said it- that we would likely get married eventually.

"Good as in good" I said. "And I make no promises about grandkids". Off I'm being honest, I p c robably could've promised that, but it was more fun this way.

"Oh, come on. We both know you want kids" mom said

"Ok, but you don't have to ask about it every single time you see me" Rory said

"Fine"

Logan's POV-

After dinner people slowly started leaving. It was pretty late and it was just me and Rory, Lorelai and Luke, Christopher, and my parents. At one point Josie (who I'd put to bed 2 hours before) walked into the living room. "Why are you awake, princess?" I asked her

"My eyes are open" Josie said

I chuckled a little. "Your eyes are open. Of course" I said as I stood up. "Come on, I'll put you back to bed"

"No, Rory" Josie said

"What?"

"I want Rory to come" Josie said

I gave Rory a look. It was fine with me, but I didn't want Rory to feel like she had to take care of my kids.

"Alright" Rory said. "Come on"

"Ok, since Rory's not here, I have something to tell you guys" I said. I was gonna let each of them know separately, but since everyone was there and Rory wasn't, I decided to just tell them. I glanced behind me at the stairs to make sure that Rory's wasn't in earshot. "I bought a ring"
