Rory's POV-
One Sunday in June, I went to have breakfast with my mom in Stars Hollow. We were sitting in the dragonfly library, drinking coffee.
"How's Logan doing?" She asked
"He's good. He's still getting used to having a dog in the house, but he's good"
"Yeah, I still don't understand how he ended up with a dog in the first place"
"His ex's parents foster dogs and puppies and last summer they gave the girls a puppy. Abigail apparently hates the thing and wasn't gonna bring it to Seattle with her, and the girls didn't want to get rid of it, so Logan agreed to take it"
"That's sweet"
"Yeah"
"Hey, how are you gonna get laid?"
"Mom!"
"It's a valid question. Your boyfriend has 2 kids who live with him full time now. I mean I get that before, you could go on dates and you know...do stuff when they were with their mother, but now what?"
"Well about dates: that's what babysitters are for, and about the other thing, his kids are little. They're asleep by 7:30 and then we can do whatever we want"
"Good point"
After breakfast with my mom, I headed to Logan's house to spend some time with him and the girls.
"Hey" Logan said when he opened the door.
"Hi"
Just then Josie and Belle appeared next to me and Belle wrapped her arms around my legs. "Hi"
"Hello" I laughed.
"Pick me up" Josie said.
"How are my favorite little people doing today?" I asked as I picked Josie up.
"Daddy took my elephant" Josie told me.
"You're telling on me to my girlfriend, now?" Logan asked. Josie giggled.
"Well, taking an elephant is a very serious offense" I said
"Yeah, well she took it to the park this morning and it got a little bit...dropped in a puddle. It needed to be washed" Logan said
"Rory, can we do nail polish?" Belle asked.
"Sure" I said
"Me too?" Josie asked
"Of course" I put Josie down and the girls went upstairs to get some nail polish.
Logan put his arms around my waist and kissed me. "Hi"
"Hi" I smiled
"I love you, you know that?"
"I love you too"

Logan's POV-
The next morning, I woke up with Rory's head on my chest. It took a moment, but I realized that that was the first time Rory had spent the night at my place while the girls were there. We didn't mean to fall asleep, but clearly we did. It wasn't that I didn't like spending the night with rory. I did. But I was worried about the girls. I didn't want to do anything that might make them uncomfortable. Even if they were too young to really understand, I didn't know if Rory sleeping over would make them uncomfortable.
I didn't know what to do because I really wanted Rory to be able to sleep over, but I was worried about how it would affect my kids. So when Rory woke up, we talked about it and decided to kind of just act like everything was normal and see what the girls would say.
