Logan's POV-

After picking up the girls from school I brought them home and while Josie napped, I sat in the playroom with Belle, putting together a Minnie Mouse puzzle.

"Daddy, who's the strongest person in the whole everything?" Belle asked

"In the whole everything, huh?" I asked. I loved when they said stuff like that.

"Yeah. How much pounds can they pick up?"

"I don't know" I said

"Does the letter W start with a D?"

"I don't know what that means" I told her. She was learning how to read, so I thought that maybe I wasn't understanding her right because to me her question made no sense.

"Because when you say W it sounds like duh at the start. Like a letter D"

"Oh...well I guess the letter W would start with a D"

"Ok" she said. She was quiet for a minute before asking me yet another question that I didn't have an answer to. "When we drive in the car, are we in the car's tummy?"

What a terrifying way to see the world. "I don't think so, sweetheart"

"But I want it to be the car's tummy"

"Ok. It can be that if you want"

"I want"

Once Josie woke up, I gave both the girls a snack and told them that somebody would be coming over to have dinner with us.

"Why?" Belle asked

"Why is she coming?" I asked

"Yeah"

"Because she's a very special friend, and I want you guys to meet her"

"Is she special because she's your best friend"

"Yeah"

"Does she like the cat in the hat?"

"I'm not sure, but when she gets here you can ask her"

"I don't wanna ask her. You should ask her"

"Ok, I'll ask her"

The kids were pretty shy around Rory at first, which wasn't unusual for them, but once they warmed up it was great.

Rory's POV-

Over the next couple of months I started spending more time with Logan when he had his kids. Not a crazy amount of time, but where before, Logan and I would only see each other when his kids were with their mother, now I would sometimes go over to his place while they were there, or if they were going to get ice cream or something Logan would invite me to come. It was nice. His kids were sweet and it meant that we weren't so limited with how much time we could spend together. Logan had also come with me to my mom's wedding which was nice.

One Friday morning in February of 2016, Logan and I were sitting in my kitchen, drinking coffee. He had come over after taking his kids to school.

"Hey, can I ask you for a favor?" Logan asked

"Sure"

"Firstly I wanna make it clear that it's fine of you don't want to"

"What do you need, Logan?"

"Ok, so you know how Abigail's in Washington for a work thing, right?"

"Yeah" I nodded. I knew that Logan was happy to have his kids with him for 2 weeks straight while his ex was away.
