All heads in the upper campus snapped to our attention. Vasilissa and Rosemarie where gone for two years. just the thought of seeing them at St. Valdimirs academy was great.

All vampires and dhampires where in there if you were 16 or older. meals and afternoon classes were the only time that both races where together, and you rarely got paired with a close friend. so meals were rarely missed for they were the best time to converse except for the weekends.

Rosemarie stopped in her tracks, and Vasilissa gasped probably every last bit of air in the commons.

I kept walking as best I could with all the heavy stares. I was good at keeping my cool but I hated being the center of attention.

When the walk through the commons was over, first Vasilissa let out a deep breath, and Rosemarie's face had more colour to it.

We walked to headmistress Kirova's office and sitting there was the headmistress, and the renounced lord, victor dashcov. Alberta was there on one side of the door as I took the other.

Kirova fixed them with her powerful eyes, full of anger, and opened her mouth to begin a, what was probably an award winning lecture, when a deep general voice stopped her.

"Vasilissa"announced victor dashkov. with a great deal of effort, lord, dashkov rose from his chair. Vasilissa sprang up and rapped her arms around victor's frail body.

"Uncle" she breathed, like she was on a verge of tears as she tightened her grip.with a small smile he patted her back.

"You have no idea how glad I am to see you safe, Vasilissa." he looked at Rosemarie. "And you too, rose" rose? I liked that name a lot better than Rosemarie. but I would only use it in my head for it was not formal, I scolded my self. rose nodded back.

After a moment Kirova started her lecture.
