Revelation - Bond - Hold

My body was pushed to the limit as I ran, each step becoming a new struggle. Exhaustion and dizziness conspired to bring me to my knees, the persistent ache at the back of my head deepening with every labored breath. Dirt clung to my skin as I collapsed, and from the corner of my eye, a mysterious glow caught my attention. It flickered like a flame or a candle...

Uncertain whether the sight before me was reality or an hallucination borne of madness, I crawled towards it. With each inch I closed, the glow intensified, and the sizzling of sparks filled my ears. As it took form in front of me, I realized it wasn't a fire but a strange totem. Bones were artfully arranged and propped up by a skull, and beneath, a flame sizzled. When my trembling hand made contact with it, I was plunged into an otherworldly vision, peering through the eyes of the killer.

I watched as the Huntress, carried my unconscious friend Jessica upon her shoulder, her dark hair clinging to her bloodstained skin. I was forced to bear witness as she tossed Jessica onto a grotesque meat hook, the flesh of her shoulder tearing as she hung there. My gasping breaths reverberated in the eerie silence that followed, and I withdrew my touch as though scalded, the words escaping my lips no more than a murmur.

"What is this..."

RESOLUTION
The urgency to rescue Jessica fueled a storm of frustration within me, and I swore under my breath, my trembling hand reaching towards the totem once more. With a quivering grip, I laid my hand on the skull, and an internal fire ignited, pulling me into the Huntress's twisted sight. Jessica's whimpering reached my ears, a grim reminder of her pain. The realization that time was not on our side tightened its grip on my heart.

Stress bore down on me, quickening my breath as I navigated through the Huntress's perspective. The longer I peered through the killer's eyes, the more the Totem warmed beneath my touch.

"Come on, show me where you are bitch," I muttered through gritted teeth, my fingers clenching the skull in a desperate attempt to extract any vital information. The Huntress swaggered away, revealing a glimpse of what seemed like an old barn surrounded by trees.

I tried to delved deeper in the hopes of uncovering something else - but she sensed my intrusion. I saw the Huntress peer into her own mind, reaching for me and with a jolt, she snapped back, and the totem shattered beneath my touch, throwing me back into the dirt.
