Revelation - Secret - Obtain

Leaning against a large tree, my breath rasped in my throat. I felt my arm numbing, as if the wound no longer stung but instead pulsed with my heavy heartbeat. My head rested against the trunk, eyes closed for a fleeting moment.

I had dropped the crossbow, its purpose exhausted with my last arrow. It was dead weight, and shedding it lightened my footfall. Sliding down the tree, my back scratched against the bark as I ran my hands over my face. I wrestled with the urge to cry or laugh. All of this felt so real, yet I couldn't discern what was a figment of this world and what was rooted in reality.

Closing my eyes, lids fluttering, I allowed my mind to conjure the images seen when touching the totem. Jessica hooked, dark tendrils seeking her—I thought back to my physical body on the cold forest floor, my bleeding arm, the pain at the back of my head, lungs filling with flames as I breathed summer air. Thoughts of Tyler, of Hunter, of all of us running. The amulet's revelation echoed—it claimed me as part of its world. Realization dawned that we fought not only for our lives but for our souls.

Delving deeper into my mind, a vision took root—a painful sight of the Huntress and the entity she worshipped. The darkness she must feed. I realized she, too, sought escape, but her only way out was to feed the entity our souls.

RESOLUTION
I realize The Huntress and I both have a common goal - we're both trapped in this alternate universe.

While I run to survive, she hunts to escape.
