Chapter 98

You wanted to take Boruto to Naruto, but would he see the difference between the two? You liked Naruto, but was rather naive. However, it was best to take him to Gaara, hopefully, he'll keep him there for a couple of days until you find Sasuke.

Arriving at the Village brought great memories, touching memories. From the moment you arrived to the last time you left. It felt wrong to be here because you were not here to see them. But because you needed a favor. Though, it was a favor to protect this kid.  Before anything else, you requested to see the Hokage, and told them who you were. There was shock and distrust, but they knew the history you had with the Hokage and his siblings so they gave him your request.

And it seemed that Gaara did not hesitate even a second so now you were being guided to his office. Boruto trailing behind, looking around and there was a look of distaste on his face. As if he did not want to be here. Obito tagged along as well, and the three of you were guided to enter the office where you were met by Gaara and Temari.

Gaara calmly stood up, offering a warm smile as you entered. "It's good to see you, [Name]. Please have a seat."

Temari stared at you with a cold look, and you did not have to think as to why she was acting like this. However, that changed when her eyes landed on Boruto. The two siblings looked at each other, and then back at you. They knew exactly who he resembled. "You're both not wrong," you started as you were seated, Boruto occupied the other seat while Obito stood behind you. "And that's why I'm here."

"Do you want to explore the village while I speak with Gaara?" You questioned, which would probably be best for Boruto anyway.

You almost asked Obito to keep an eye on Boruto but he didn't need you to tell him, he simply nodded and followed Boruto. That only left you, Gaara, and Temari. "He used a device, but to be more precise, it was an accident. He's not here alone, Sasuke is here but they were separated. My contacts are already gathering information, so I'll probably find him soon. While I do that, it's dangerous to have him with me. I thought of taking him to the Leaf Village but right now maybe it's best to keep him here. If you allow it, of course. "
