CHAPTER 24- The mission of the underworlds
"He's the fire and she's the rain"
✥
POV OF FEYRE AZURA
Dragging her lifeless form from the icy waters, Matheo's firm grip barely betraying the weight he carried. His hands slide under her back and thighs, Transporting her through the art of apparition. Entering Lorenzo's secluded dormitory, Matheo deposited her on his bed with certain nonchalance.
Drenched and perilously close to the brink of death, she lay there, a mere breath away from the afterlife.
Matheo, as cold as he was, listened to Lorenzo's instructions—still astounded by how Lorenzo's predictions came true—Feyre willingly ending her life alongside Lorenzo.
Pulling her from the waters, her heavy weight resting on Matheo's strong hands. Carrying her from the waters, he apparated to Lorenzo's dorm room, placing her there.
Surprisingly, the fragile silhouette laid on the bed clung to the tenuous threads of life. She was still alive—Riddle sensed using his magic.
Matheo had only arrived on the dark scene an hour after she had drowned into the watery abyss. Had she been an ordinary pureblood, she would have reached death.
Even though she laid there as if she was dead, Life stubbornly clung to her. Matheo could sense it as he was a God-blood gifted with the uncanny ability to sense the pulse of life in wizards and discern the void where life had deserted.
Her outsides suggested death's touch, yet Matheo's power revealed the dance of a dormant soul within her heart—she lingered on the scale between life and the abyss.
A intriguing thought appeared on his mind, "She can't be—no." The prospect of her holding blood higher than pure blood repulsed him.
With an irritated roll of his eyes, he aimed his wand at her, murmuring a silent incantation to revive her. Water expelled from her lips, a desperate gasp as she inhaled the breath of life once more. Yet she was still Unconscious, her eyelids sealed by Riddle's enchantment—falling into a deep sleep.
Matheo's frigid gaze traced the sleeping form, his glare hardening. Swiftly turning, he exited the room, the door sealing behind him with an ominous finality.
✥
The colossal silver doors creak open, revealing a vast throne room swallowed by darkness, with only the high throne illuminated by a faint gleam. They step into the abyss - the throne room of the Dark Lords. Matheo Riddle's father.
Matheo and his companion walking inside the the dark expanse, an air of mystery shrouding their purpose. Matheo questions his very presence in this foreboding place.
Silver symbols of history adorn the walls, serpents slithering in victorious tales, paintings depicting the torment of the Riddles. The black, cold, glass marble floor guides them toward the Dark Lord, who sits on his throne, his hand entwined with a snake.
Echoes of their footsteps reverberate through the room.
Matheo's gaze remains fixed on the floor, a sign of respect to the ominous figure on the throne. He walks forward, kneeling before his father, his companion standing behind him.
"Father, you have summoned me," Matheo starts, his dark husky voice resonating with the dark room while eyes locked on the icy marble beneath him.
A moment ensues, the Dark Lord contemplating.
"I do not remember asking Morpheus to accompany you," the Dark Lord questions in his cranky old voice, scrutinizing Matheo's servant- Morpheus.
"He is half raven and half serpant. He will be helpful," Matheo replies, his words vanishing into the shadows of the throne room.
A palpable silence hangs in the air, and Matheo clenches his fist. The Dark Lord scrutinizes his newly found acquaintance. Why did the Dark Lord summon Matheo?
"Hm," the Dark Lord acknowledges, tightening his grip on his staff.
"The time has come, son," the Dark Lord begins answering his silent questions. The dark lord laughs the sound grating and eerie. His eyes, now bathed in glowing silver, piercing the darkness.
Matheo's gaze meets the Dark Lord's, a subtle smirk playing on his cold face. The day he yearned for was finally here
The mission of the undergrounds has begun.
✥
In the hidden realms of wizarding history lies the supreme legacy of God-bloods, beings whose existence is shrouded in mystery and power beyond comprehension.
Feared and revered, God-bloods possess a superior status, their essence engraved with immortality that reaches the end of time.
Immortality, the gift of God-blood power, grants them a lifespan extending to the very edge of the universe.
Yet, this eternity is not invincible, entirely. No Muggle-born, Half-blood, or even pureblood can kill them. The key to a God-blood's death lies in a chilling truth—they can only be killed by their own kind, when faced with a another God-blood.
According to the history wizarding kingdoms, God-bloods once reigned as lords, their purpose lied in the protection of their subjects—muggleborn, half-blood and pure-blood. Moreover to pursuit harmony among the magical kingdoms
There also lied a secretive hierarchy of Godbloods, three ranks hold the supreme blood-status.
Beyond verbal claims, God-bloods were powerful physically. Each God-blood possesses a unique ability, a gift that is used for one's defense or attack and to counter one's enemy.
The Dern-Godblood : Mostly the stage of newborns, when magic is first being explored.
The Lucent-Godblood : the normal rank for God-blood. Most Godbloods fall under this rank. Mostly mothers, sons who are not to be heirs and mostly ones who have not fulfilled the task of the underworld
The Orphic-Godblood : The highest title is only given to the supreme leaders who have finished the task of underworlds—a severely difficult task. Orphic godbloods usually have reached their full potential of their power.
Power at this stage it dominant and supreme.
Dern and Lucent God-bloods if fulfilled the task of underworlds can obtain the rank–Orphic-Godbloods. Pure bloods too if they wish, can try to fulfill the task of underworlds—if successful they will be granted with Orphic-Godblood.
There are 3 key ways to become a member of this supreme blood-status:
1 - Descendant ; being born to a God-blood family.
2 - Marriage ; being married to a God-blood makes the subject one.
3 - The mission of the Underworld ; Fulfilling a rigorous mission will not only promise a Orphic God-blood status but for the subject to reach the full potential power of God-blood. The mission can apply to Dern/Lucent and subjects who are willing to finish the task.
These rules apply regardless of the circumstances, consequences and advantages of the future world.
