Jace didn't like the cold of Quebec.
He never liked the cold. Yea, he had hoped camp half-blood would actually get snow but now that there was snow, he hoped it would be gone the instant he pinched himself.
one.
two.
three.
When he opened his eyes there was still snow. His hair was absolutely covered and he felt like his ears would soon fall off. Maybe he was being dramatic but honestly, you try flying over Quebec in the middle of winter. It's fucking freezing.
Leo had fallen asleep in front of him and if someone even hinted at the fact that he had leaned into Leo he would deny it in a heartbeat. The guy was just unnaturally warm!
Piper leaned past both him and Jason to poke Leo awake, the guy seemed pretty out of it when his eyes opened and he looked around. Leo was glancing around, trying to get a grasp on where the hell they were. They both had stayed up the entire night but Leo was the one who was actually doing work. Jace just watched and toyed with random things.
Maybe he should've done more, but Annabeth was always the one who liked machines and things like that. He preferred weapons and fighting, and photography but that was something he liked to keep to himself.
He could feel Jason's hands holding his waist. Festus wasn't the smoothest of taxi drivers and Leo was the only one who could stay on his back without having the problem of almost slipping off. Like, at any moment. The kid could be doing flips and Jace was sure he wouldn't fall.
Piper was the only one properly dressed for it the ski jacket she was already wearing when the trio had arrived at camp, apparently Annabeth already favored her over Jace (Not gonna lie, it kind of hurt) and had given her a beanie and a pair of mittens that had a sewn owl on it.
She seemed to have minimal issues with the cold weather unlike Jace, who had been given only a thick jacket. No gloves, no hat, just a jacket. He had just his camp t-shirt under it and the jacket really wasn't protecting him from the cold that well. He kept on getting goosebumps whenever snow blew into his jacket and melted on his skin. Sure the fact that Jason was leaning against his back somewhat helped but it mostly just made only his back sweaty.
Jason seemed cold as well but also he seemed to thrive being in the air.
"You cannot tell me that it is Quebec and not Santa's workshop." Leo seemed to have gotten back to his senses and was now looking down at the decorated city. Jace did somewhat agree with it. It was very over the top with all those decorations. Too many lights.
"It is Quebec. One of the oldest cities in North America, founded around sixteen hundred or so?" Piper answered back,
"That's a lot of information about Quebec. You sure your dad didn't make a movie out of it too?" Leo's voice was joking but Piper seemed to still get offended,
"Just because I'm a girl doesn't mean I can't be smart." She snapped back and Jace was pretty sure Leo hadn't meant it like that but yeah, she may have gotten used to things like that being said to her before. He frowned but brushed it off once Piper seemed to have calmed down.
"Sorry! Geez, It was just a joke." Leo raised his arms up in mock surrender with a chuckle.
Piper mumbled something back but Jace couldn't hear, she probably accepted his apology, maybe. Leo pointed to a castle looking building and asked her what it was.
"It's a hotel.
"No way." Leo laughed.
"She's right. I think I've been there before." Jace spoke up and also startled Jason enough that the boy leaned away from him.
