"Wake up, we're here." I say and shake Dylan awake. I specifically do this because I know it'll piss him off.
"Wow,look at the water." Camille exclaims and shakes with excitement in her seat.
"Meh." Lukas says and shrugs. Edelle looks at him then at me.
"You okay?" I ask and look at her. I can tell she isn't okay,almost as if she wants to throw up or some shit.
"Yeah,don't worry." She nods and smiles sweetly.
Maybe she's changed...
"Yay,water!" Camille exclaims again when we get out of the car. Dylan helps me unload the suitcases while Edelle gets a headstart with the kids.
"This will be fun. Maybe you two will finally fuck and create a little sibling for Lukas." Dylan mumbles,but I hear it clearly.
I shoot him a warning glare but he acts as if he hasn't seen it.
I roll my eyes and keep walking with him.
This was going to be a long vacation.

"Can we talk?" I ask Josh while holding the sliding door.
He turns back and smiles while rubbing the back of his head.
"Sure." He nods.
I walk closer and place my hands on his shoulders.
"I'm sorry."
"I'll try to understand you better." We say at the same time.
I smile and so does he.
"I'm so sorry if I seemed pushy." He says and holds my waist. This time,I don't flinch,neither do I cringe or feel weird.
"It's okay,I understand." I say and tiptoe a bit so that I can face him easily.
"How's your vision?" He asks,still holding my waist.
"It's a bit okay now." I smile while still looking at him.
"I'm glad." He says and touches my nose with his.
I feel the sudden urge to kiss him. And I do.
His kiss is gentle,not strong with urgency and hunger like Elron's own. It doesn't make my blood boil over nor does it make me fall into a euphoric trance.
"Can we go out tonight?" He asks and trails his thumb over my lower lip.
I nod and remove my hands from his shoulders.
"I'd like that." I say and walk away. I need a bath. And I need a way to clear my mind.

By the time I finish unpacking,it's almost noon. I'm famished but I still have a lot to do.
"I...I'm sorry...for how I behaved." Edelle says shyly which is so unlike her.
I nod and extend my arms to hug her.
"It's okay." I say and rub her back when she begins to sob.
"How about dinner? This evening?" I ask when she sobers up a bit.
"Really?" She asks with bright eyes.
"Yeah." I say and kiss her cheek.
