Ryujin tangled her fingers in her hair in concern as she continued to pace around the living room.

You were supposed to be home an hour ago and you're still nowhere to be seen.

Ryujin is trying to tell herself that it's only been an hour and she shouldn't worry this much but you haven't even contacted her to tell her that you're running late and that's so unlike you.

"Baby, it's me again," She sighed as she reached your voicemail once more. "It's okay if something came up and you didn't tell me. I'm not upset at all but I'm worried. Are you okay? Call me. Please."

She waited a few seconds before ending the call.

Plopping down on the sofa, she stared at the clock on the wall and chewed on her nails anxiously.

She watched the time pass by without any call or text from you.

One hour turned into two, two turned into three, and when it hit hour four she was a mess.

She'd left you several voicemails and had sent you several panicked messages.

The girls were on their way over to help her figure out where to go from here.

She checked every local news outlet to see if there were any reports of any accidents or, god forbid, anything worse.

But there was nothing.

She was frantic and panicking as she bounced her knee and tangled her hands in her hair.

Then, just as the girls pulled into the driveway, an idea came to her mind.

She should contact your workplace.

She instantly called them and in just two rings, they answered.

"Hello, this is Ryujin, Y/N's girlfriend. I'm sorry to bother but I was wondering if she's working late. I haven't been able to get ahold of her and she hasn't come home. Maybe her phone died? Is she alright?"

The words from your employer sent a chill down her spine.

"Hi, Ryujin. I'm sorry to hear that but she never turned up at work today."

"What?" She asked in shock.

"We were going to contact the police if we didn't hear from her by tomorrow. We tried calling her but she never picked up. We assumed she was sick."

Now Ryujin was terrified.

"She left about twenty minutes before her shift started, as she always does. I haven't seen her since. No one saw her or her car? Not even for a split second?"

"No. No other workers saw her, I asked around."

"Shit." Ryujin cursed. "Okay, thank you. I'll be in touch."

By now, the girls had stepped into your shared home and saw Ryujin looking more frightened than ever before.

"What's going on?"

"She didn't show up for work today! No calls, no texts, nothing. Something's wrong."

The girls' hearts all dropped.

"Oh, my god," Lia mumbled, feeling terrified, too.

"Ryujin, I think we need to call the police," Chaeryeong said. "Something is very wrong. This is so unlike her."

"You all haven't heard from her?" She asked the girls.

"No," Yeji spoke sadly.

"We would've told you before even coming here if that was the case. We would tell you immediately." Yuna said.

"This can't be happening," Ryujin said as tears filled her eyes. "What if she's hurt? What if someone has her? What if she's..."

"Ryujin, don't even finish that thought. She's not dead and I'm sure she's okay." Yeji said, trying to reason with her anxious friend.

"Maybe she just needed to go away for a day or two. Perhaps she was overwhelmed or something was bothering and she just wanted to disconnect." Lia said.

"She would've told me." Ryujin sniffled. "She's not like that. She wouldn't let me or any of you or her family worry about her. She would've told me."

The girls knew she was right.

They didn't want to admit it to Ryujin but they knew something was wrong.

"Let's go to the police station. I think I need to file a missing persons report." Ryujin said as a tear fell down her cheek.

The girls went to the station with her and she filled out a report.

She filled it out with shaking hands and tears slipping down her cheeks as her emotions, mostly fear, overwhelmed her.

"You'll find her, right? You have to." She told the cops.

"We'll do our very best." They said. "I'm sure she's okay. But, yes, we will look for her."

Ryujin nodded and they let her and the girls go after asking some questions.

They drove back to your shared home, promising to stay with Ryujin.

"She'll be home by morning," Yuna said. "I'm sure of it."

"Yeah and then we'll all hug her so tight and never let her go," Yeji spoke, making Ryujin crack a small smile.

"You need to sleep though. If this does go further, and I'm sorry to be that person, but you're going to need all the rest you can get." Lia said as she squeezed Ryujin's shoulder.

"I can't. I won't be able to sleep until she walks through that door." Ryujin sniffled.

Chaeryeong threw her arms around her as Ryujin sobbed.

"I hope she's okay. I just want her to come home." Ryujin sobbed.

The girls quickly joined in on the hug, trying to comfort Ryujin the best they could.

But they felt the same way as her, only wanting you to come back home, safe and sound.
