[ MADDIE ]

It's been 3 days.

3 days without any form of contact from Benjamin Hayes Grier.

I've gone over 12 years without him, I don't know why 3 days is killing me.

Well maybe it's because he basically forgot about me in the allotted time.

These past 3 days he has been posting nothing but pictures with random girls he had been hanging out with. It seems as if I was occupying him for a while but I was always easily replaceable.

Just a temporary situation.

I don't know why this has been bothering me so much. It's not like I like him or anything or the sort. I guess I just enjoy his presence, like I thought he did with mine.

It's too bad though. I grew really fond of the other guys, especially Cameron.

I'm even hanging out with Cameron today as it is my free day. I would spend it with Hayes but I don't think I'm even at the bottom of the list of people he'd want to see.

"Why can't you just spend the day with us?" my sister whines crossing her arms in front of her chest. She was getting ready to spend the day with all the girls, our moms, and Ms. Abby. They're going to Disneyland or some tedious shit like that.

"Um, have you met Kendall?" I ask rhetorically. She of all people should know that Kendall's the biggest brat on Earth and I have spent enough time in her presence to last my entire lifetime.

"Sadly," Mack replies with a disgusted look on her face. I couldn't help but laugh at how cute my sister is. She's the most annoying human on this planet, but sometimes she's alright. And she hates Kendall too so that helps.

"Well you have fun with that," I say giving her a sympathetic smile knowing that she's in for quite the day.

"Cam just texted me that he's here so I'll see you later, love you." I close the door behind me and head into the elevator. In 20 seconds flat I reach the lobby.

I see Cameron's familiar SUV parked outside so I head over to it.

"Hey," I greet him as I put my seatbelt on. As I get a glimpse of Cameron, I see that he spiked his hair up using gel.

It's a good look on him that definitely took some time to do but as his friend I can't let him be.

I reach over to the top of his head and begin rubbing it vigorously until it's a huge mess but Cameron doesn't even comment, just lets out a small sigh.

"Maddog," he smiles giving me a side hug that kind of didn't work due to the seat belts. "What do you want to do today, shortie?" he asks me curiously.

"I don't even care I just want to have some fun," I sigh honestly running my hand through my hair.

"I'm guessing a little Grier boy has put someone in a mood," he teases poking me in the rib. I shoo his hand off in annoyance.

"Can we not talk about it?" I plead. Hayes is the last thing I want to talk about right now. He's clearly forgot about me, so I should forget about him.

"Oh we're gonna talk about it... just not right now," he reasons. I give him a silent thank you because I knew he'd eventually make me talk about it but I'm glad it's later rather than sooner.

"How about we explore downtown Los Angeles," he suggests and I nod pretty open to the idea.

"I'd love that, I'm always in the Beverly Hills and Brentwood Areas, I don't really know Los Angeles."

"Well that's about to change."

@CameronDallas: spent the day with my crazy little turd of a lil sister. love you lots madz

"This is so cute, Cam," I grin when I notice he tagged me in a photo on Instagram. It was a picture of me making a dumb face while we were walking on the streets of downtown.

"Yea, yea whatever but it's time," he insists as his face takes a serious expression.

"Time for what?" I question stealing one of the fries from his plate. We were eating in a random restaurant near the Staples Centre and I finished all my fries already meaning Cam is being forced to share.

"You know exactly what I'm talking about," he says surely. I give him a look of confusion so he clarifies. "Hayes."

Oh, my favorite topic.

"There's nothing to say," I state simply. I can tell he doesn't believe me by the look he's giving me, so I decide to drop my oblivious act and just talk about it.

"He thinks that I'm just available all day, every day to hang out whenever he snaps his fingers but I have a life outside of him and it doesn't follow his schedule," I begin and Cam nods in agreement.

He says nothing so I continue on with my rant.

"I had a dance competition on the weekend and he expected me to just forget about it and chill with him but the only reason I'm here is dance and he can't change that."

"I see where you're coming from, but the only reason he's acting like a complete ass is because he's hopelessly in love with you," Cameron explains.

"Yeah, right," I scoff. Of course the possibility of Hayes liking me has been brought up on more then one occasion but the thought itself is highly improbable.

"You don't understand how much this kid talks about you," Cameron counters when I shoot down his rather crazy theory. "He use to watch dance moms religiously and fantasize over the one day that he'll finally meet his celebrity crush otherwise known as you."

"I find that quite hard to believe."

"Why?" Cameron asks as if it isn't obvious.

"He can't be in love with me Cam, there's no way. I-I'm me," I point out not being able to believe that anyone would find me loveable.

"What's that supposed to mean, you're fucking awesome and the coolest girl I've ever met," he exclaims.

Lie.

"I can't believe you when you say that because you've met like the entire population of teenage girls and Taylor Swift. I can't beat Taylor Swift," I reason but Cam just laughs.

"I'm gonna let you in on a little secret," he confides leaning in closer to me. He's barely audible, basically whispering. "You beat her hands down. You're way awesomer than T-Swift could ever be and Hayes thinks so too."

"Well he has an interesting way of showing it," I huff in frustration. "Also awesomer is not a word," I add.

"Look at me, a 19-year old getting an English lesson from a 12-year old."

"Well someone's gotta teach you," I quip teasingly as I steal another fry.

"Alright, alright," he huffs before his face gets serious. "I'm gonna ask you something and I need you to be completely honest. I have feeling you don't even know the answer yet I just need you to be say what comes to your mind?" he instructs.

I nod although I'm incredibly nervous to what he might say.

"Do you like Hayes?"
