"Kentarō, Darling you look so distraught!" Their mother ran up to him, bringing him to the couch and sitting him down. "What's going on?"

His hands were balled into fists, his knuckles had turned white. "That worthless excuse for a father was walking into the school when I was leaving. I'd say he was looking for Y/n."

All the colour in Y/n's face disappeared, and the blood drained from her face as she received the unsettling news that her father was sneaking around her school. Her heart pounded furiously, and she felt a cold sweat break out across her forehead as she tried to comprehend the situation. She had never imagined her father would resort to such tactics, and her mind raced with questions and concerns.

The room grew quiet as her breathing became increasingly labored with each passing moment. The sound of their conversation became muffled, like static on a TV screen. Her heart raced with fear at the mere thought of him entering back into her life. She felt the urge to flee, but the weight of responsibility held her back. She couldn't bear to leave her twin brother and mother behind. The weight of the decision felt like an anchor, tethering her to a life she desperately wanted to escape.

Iwaizumi paused for a moment before speaking, trying to choose his words carefully. "I don't mean to pry, but I can't help but wonder - is there a particular reason why your father being around the school is an issue?"

"He's trying to take custody of Y/n. We don't know why he doesn't want both of us, but we won't give him a chance to take her," growled Kentarō as he squeezed Y/n's hand tightly.

"I know why he wants me," Y/n sighed, her hands trembling around the cup of tea that her gaze remained fixed on.

Y/n took a shuddering breath as she briefly looked around the three people currently sat together in the living room, all of whom were giving her curious, expectant glances. With a sigh her eyes finally landed on Iwaizumi, her gaze suddenly hard as if the weight of the realisation that it was finally time for this secret to come out had just dawned on her.

She had kept it hidden all these years but now that her life already felt like it was crumbling around her, was the time she had to let it be known.

"Should-should I go?" Iwaizumi asked, an awkward frown on his face "I wouldn't want to intrude..."

"Yes," Y/n stated, quite decisively "Thank you for bringing me my work but this is a family matter."

With a sharp nod to Y/n Iwaizumi stood up and placed his cup on the table that sat in front of the couch. He glanced over to Kyotani, and then to the twins mother.

"Thank you for your hospitality, Mrs. Kyotani," He said with a small, respectful bow "I'll see you at school tomorrow, Kyotani-san."

Y/n didn't say anything as he left, nor did she dare look up again until she heard the front door close, marking Iwaizumi's departure from the family home. With a deep, resolute sigh, she looked first to her mother and then to her brother. The last things she wanted to appear in this moment was like the broken, scared little girl she always felt whenever those memories of their father came back.

"You can't let him take me," She began, her eyes hardened resolutely "The last time we were left alone together he..."

"He did what," their mother urged "Y/n, darling, whatever happened you can tell us. I promise good or bad, we won't let him seperate us."

At her mothers words tears finally sprung to Y/n's eyes and she began to sob. Understanding the situation, her brother growled low in his throat, pulling her into his chest protectively.

Y/n sobbed into his shoulder, her resolution to tell them completely slipping away as she tried to speak as best as she could around hiccuping sobs.

"H-he, uh, he tou-touch-ed m-me," Y/n stuttered around sobs "H-he started with-with his ha-hands on-on my shoulders and he... he would, uh, t-tell me all the thing-things h-he wan-want-ted to do to m-me and... and th-then..."

Y/n's mother let out a loud gasp, her own cup clattering to the floor as tears sprung to her eyes. Kentaro pulled Y/n closer into him, one hand around her waist and the other running through her hair in an effort to calm the poor girl down.

"Why didn't you ever tell us?" her mother asked softly "Y/n I..."

"Because I was scared!" Y/n exclaimed, pulling away from her brother, her hands balling into fists on her knees "I was afraid you would-would hate me! Or that Ken would do something!"

"I'm about to do something," Kentaro growled "I'm about to go down to that fucking school to see if that bastard is still down there and I'll knock his teeth out."

"Ken... please..." Y/n sobbed "The last thing we need is for the both of us to be in trouble."

"Surely we could go to the police?" Their mother suggested gently, tears still falling from her eyes.

Y/n just shook her head, her hands coming up to fist at her hair as her sobbing had now made way for a rage to fill her. They couldn't go to the police and even if they did, they would never believe her. She was already suspended for assaulting the principle, the last thing she needed was for the police to believe she was making a false statement.

"It was too long ago," Y/n sighed "Besides, who are they going to believe? A young girl or a grown man? There were no witnesses, no scars... there's no evidence. It's my word against his."

"It's clear that the only reason he wants me in his custody is so he makes sure I don't tell anyone what he did to me." She continued, but a lump was caught in her throat. "Or so he can so more then what he originally did..."

"I won't let him lay a finger on you ever again." Kentarō growled. "He won't even get a chance to look at you."
