The coach's voice boomed across the court, congratulating the team on their efforts. "You guys did a fantastic job today! Your hard work is paying off. Now, it's time to pack up and go home. Remember, we have a practice match with Nekoma on Monday morning, so be sure to get plenty of rest over the weekend."

The players began to gather their equipment and chat amongst themselves as they headed toward the changing rooms.

The coach turned to Y/n, who had been watching the practice from the sidelines. "Hey, Y/n, will you be coming to watch the game on Monday?" he asked, his voice friendly and inviting.

"You would actually let me come with you guys?" she asked, her eyes practically sparkling with admiration.

He couldn't help but let out a hearty laugh. With a big smile on his face, he turned to her and said, "Your brother seems to be playing better than ever. It's almost like he's found his lucky charm. And I think that lucky charm is you."

"Or his mood stabilizer, " she joked, making him laugh again. "But in all seriousness, I would love to attend."

"Perfect, we leave at 7:30. I will see you then." He smiled before gathering his things and leaving.

Y/n's heart was racing with excitement as she walked outside. "I'm sure Kentarō will find me outside when he's done."

She walked to the front gate, the rain lightly dripping onto her skin as she breathed in the cool air. Her heart calmed its beat as she relaxed, and the sound of the rain softly hitting the footpath was like music to her ears.

The gentle tapping of the raindrops on the windowpane created a calming atmosphere, but it was suddenly disrupted by the sound of footsteps approaching her. She immediately turned around, feeling excited and hopeful that it was her brother, who she had been waiting for. As she spun around, she could feel her heart racing with anticipation as she prepared to tell him that she would be there to watch his practice match.

But when her eyes landed on the person approaching her, her heart dropped, and her breath caught in her throat. Catching sight of his H/c hair and brown eyes sent her into a silent panic as he walked closer.

As he approached her, he couldn't help but notice the look on her face. "Now, is that any way to look at your father?" he asked, coming to a stop directly in front of her. He reached out and gently grasped her chin, studying her face for a moment.

"You've grown up so much since I last saw you," he said, a hint of pride in his voice. "You have your mother's features, so strikingly beautiful."

She was unable to muster the courage to speak. Her mind was urging her to run and find Kentarō, but it seemed as if her feet were firmly rooted to the ground. Although tears were welling up in her eyes, they blended in with the raindrops cascading down her cheeks.

He spoke in a mocking tone, "It's quite rude to not respond to someone when they're speaking to you Y/n, I thought I raised you better." She could see the anger in his eyes, which was hidden behind his laughter.

Despite the fear that was building up inside her, Y/n managed to hold back her tears and tried to stay calm. The man's grip on her chin became even tighter as he continued, "But not to worry, I'm sure I can teach you everything you've forgotten while in your mother's care."

Y/n shuddered at the thought of what he meant and tried to pull away, but he held her firmly.

She silently begged for someone to come help her get away from him, her heart slamming against her ribcage in fear as she felt his fingers bruising her skin with his grip. She let out an almost inaudible cry as she felt her fear take over her body.

She heard footsteps approaching her, and her eyes quickly darted to the side. It was Iwaizumi walking over to them, wearing headphones and a jacket over his head to protect himself from the rain.

Iwaizumi noticed the predicament Y/n was in and furrowed his brows in confusion. He scanned her and then shifted his gaze to the man who had a firm grip on her. Before he could even utter a word, Y/n broke away from the man's hold and threw herself into Iwaizumi's arms, clutching him tightly as if her life depended on it.

As he looked at the man who was now staring at her with absolute hatred, he felt a sense of danger creeping up his spine. In that moment, he knew that he had to act fast to protect her. He swiftly wrapped his arms around her, holding her close to his chest as he glared back at the man. His grip was tight and protective as if he was shielding her from any harm that might come her way.

"Let go of my daughter." The man ordered, taking a step forward. Y/n's grip on Iwaizumi tightened as her body started shaking with fear.

Iwaizumi shook his head, his hand now resting against the back of Y/n's head to protect her from having to look at him. "We both know that's not going to happen."

"I'm her father, now listen to me and let go before I make you." He threatened. "I'm not a bad man kid, but I can turn into a real bastard when it involves my family."

"I think you should leave." He replied, not breaking eye contact with him. He leaned in closer to Y/n's ear. "I won't let him touch you, your brother will be here soon, I promise."

"This is going nowhere. Give me my fucking daughter!" The man yelled, lunging forward at them. Iwaizumi quickly turned around to shield her from his attempt to grab her.

"Hey!" The familiar voice of Kentarō barked as him and two others ran up to the situation. His fist landed in his father's face and he stumbled back. "Get the fuck away from my sister, you sick piece of shit!"

"I will call the police if you don't leave the school grounds this instant." Oikawa growled, showing his phone with the dialed number for the police, his finger hovering over the call button.

Her father scoffed, fixing his jacket and looking down at his crying daughter, he let out am evil chuckle. "This isn't over Y/n, your little friends can't protect you forever."

Once he was gone, Y/n fell to her knees, the weight of her body splashing the puddles forming on the ground. Yahaba and Kentarō raced over to help her up as Oikawa checked up on Iwaizumi.

"She's out cold. We need to get her home." Kentarō growled, picking her up and carefully placing her on his back as fast as he could.

"We'll come too, he could be lurking around waiting for you to leave." Yahaba offered, grabbing his bag and signalling for the others to follow. "Let's get you both home."
