Y/n sat on the wooden bench beside the coach, her eyes fixed on the volleyball court where Aoba Johsai and Nekoma were having a practice match. She didn't want to interrupt the game with her presence, so she kept her mouth shut and her hands folded on her lap. However, she couldn't help but feel a little self-conscious when she noticed the blonde boy from Nekoma stealing glances at her now and then.

She was still upset with him over what he said about her twin, but she became curious about him. That was until she looked back over at Iwaizumi, who had a nasty scowl as he looked in Kenma's dirrection.

She couldn't see it, but he was grinding his teeth angrily. He also noticed that he kept looking at her. He got so mad that when it was his turn to serve, he accidentally hit the ball too hard, slamming it into Kenma's face.

As the whistle blew, Iwaizumi's eyes widened as he realized what he had done and froze. "Shit! I'm so sorry, dude!"

Oikawa turned to him and spoke sternly, "Iwa-chan, I think it's best if you go sit out for a bit." He then pointed to the side, indicating where he should go. "Your temper is getting the best of you, and you need to take some time to calm down."

He nodded, shuffling over to the bench and sitting beside Y/n. The look of horror on her face was not unnoticeable. He felt the guilt build up in his chest as his body slumped forward.

Yamamoto's voice echoed through the room as he shouted, "Kenma, your nose is bleeding!" Kenma's hand flew up to his nose as he felt the warmth of the blood. Yamamoto sprang into action and darted to grab a towel. Y/n, noticing the commotion, quickly stood up from the bench and raced over to Kenma with worry etched on her face.

"Here, let me help him, " she offered. "If you guys keep the game going, I'll have him back in no time."

Kuroo looked at her with a puzzled expression but eventually agreed. She then assisted him to the sidelines and fetched a first aid kit. After that, she took him to the closest tap and dampened a tissue, which she held up to his nose. "Press this against your nose. It will help reduce the swelling," she instructed him.

He winced in pain and placed his hand over hers, holding the tissue in place. His expression was confused as he asked, "Why are you helping me?"

"Captain's instincts, " she replied immediately, going back through the first aid kit. "One of my girls got a nosebleed after she smacked into the pool wall. No one else knew what to do except for me, so I couldn't not do something."

They heard the whistle blow from inside the gym, indicating that the game had started again. She turned back to him and found a gel ice pack. She looked up at him, noticing his discomfort from the pain.

She closed the first aid kit and sighed. "The best thing to do right now is to use cold water to soothe the pain. If it bruises, then you can use an icepack."

"Thank you," he sighed, sliding into a sitting position and leaning against the wall. "You didn't have to help me."

Her face contorted into a frown, and she sat beside him. Her voice showed a hint of regret as she spoke, "I'm sorry for being aggressive earlier. My brother and I are very close, and we are fiercely protective of each other. It's a twin thing."

"I understand." He leaned his head against the wall and held his nose tightly. "Fuck... this hurts."

"Don't press too hard, you can apply pressure, just not too much. Just enough to stop the bleeding." She instructed.

He listened to her and did what she said, he then glanced at her from the side. "You are really caring, aren't you?"

"I try, I can't stand seeing other people in pain." She smiled. "I guess that's just how my mother raised me. Plus Kentarō was always getting into fights, and he wouldn't let anyone else patch him up."

They continued talking, she made jokes to try and cheer him up. He would talk about his favorite video games. He then took the tissue away from his nose.

"The bleeding has stopped, we should head back in." He said standing up and walking off. Before he opened the door and turned back towards her. "Are you coming?"

She nodded and raced after him, and opening the door. He walked in and went back to his team as she went back to sitting next to Iwaizumi on the bench.

"Is he okay?" He asked, not wanting to look her in the eyes.

"Yes he's alright, just a little busted. But it's not broken, it should only burise a little." She explained, placing her hand on his shoulder. "Don't worry, I don't think he's mad at you."

"I guess that's good then." He sighed, slightly shifting over on the bench to escape her touch. "I don't even know what happened. I was so angry that I lost control of my strength, I really didn't mean to."

She frowned and shuffled closer to him and wrapping her arms around him before he could get away. "I told you he's fine, don't you go pushing me away cause you feel guilty. I'm not mad, and no one else is."

"That's not true." He frowned, gesturing over at Oikawa. "Look at Oikawa's face. He's pissed off because of what I've done."

"Well," she started, looking up at him with soft eyes. "if it means anything, I don't think you did anything wrong."

"You're saying this after I slammed a ball into someone's face and busted his nose, have you got a screw loose?" He chuckled, patting her on the head.

"Maybe I do, but even if I do at least I still know I like you." She giggled, letting go of him and returning to watching the match. "Just try to relax, everything is going to be fine."
