PRESS CONFERENCE

"Hello, Ms. Jane. Everyone is asking when the press conference will start," Lucy said, her voice laced with urgency as she glanced at the bustling room filled with reporters and cameras.

"I’m so sorry, Lucy. I’ve been stuck in traffic for the last 30 minutes," Jennie replied, her heart racing as she peered out of the car window, watching the line of vehicles crawl ahead. "Just hold on for 10 minutes. If I don’t arrive by then, start the press conference without me."

"Understood, Ms. Jane," Lucy said, trying to maintain a calm demeanor despite the growing tension in the room.

As the minutes ticked by, Jennie felt a wave of anxiety wash over her. *According to the schedule, the press conference should have started by now. Why is it taking so long?*

In the conference hall, Taehyung's manager glanced at his watch, anxiety etched across his face. "According to the schedule, the press conference should have started already. Why hasn’t it begun yet? Taehyung has a photo shoot lined up right after."

"Sorry for the delay," she replied, attempting to keep her voice steady. "Ms. Jane is stuck in traffic. We’ll start the press conference within 10 minutes."

Taehyung leaned in, brows furrowed in frustration. "What happened? Why is the event delayed?"

His manager sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Nothing serious. Just that their CEO hasn’t arrived yet. They assured me they will start the event in 10 minutes."

"Ten minutes feels like an eternity in this business," Taehyung muttered, crossing his arms. He could sense the impatience in the air and didn’t want to keep the media waiting any longer than necessary.

Back in the car, Jennie drummed her fingers on the dashboard, willing the traffic to move faster. Her stomach churned with nerves. " This is the moment I’ve been preparing for," she thought. "I can’t let a little traffic derail everything."

"Come on, come on," she urged, watching the light turn green and then red again as cars stubbornly remained in place. The minutes seemed to stretch indefinitely.

Finally, her phone buzzed again—another message from Lucy. "Everyone’s getting restless. We need you here!"

"Just ten more minutes," she whispered to herself, determination surging through her veins."

At last, as the traffic finally began to ease, Jennie felt a flicker of hope. "Let’s go! I need to get to that press conference!" she exclaimed, urging the driver to move as quickly as possible.

As the minutes ticked away, the murmurs in the audience grew louder. Lucy glanced nervously at the door, hoping to see Jennie walk in at any moment.

"Ten minutes are up," Taehyung's manager finally said, glancing at Lucy. "We need to get started. This event can’t be delayed any longer."

Lucy took a deep breath and nodded. "Okay. I guess we have to start without Ms. Jane."

As she stepped to the front of the stage, she projected confidence. "Ladies and gentlemen, a warm welcome to all of you present here today. As you are aware, this press conference is being held for the opening ceremony of Ruby Cosmetics. This is our first introduction of the brand to South Korea, and I’m thrilled to announce our Korean brand ambassador—Kim Taehyung!"
