I woke up Monday morning, with tear-stained cheeks and pillows. I also had a pounding headache.

I went into the bathroom, and looked at myself. I was a mess. My hair was sticking up everywhere, my eyes were bloodshot, and my cheeks were caked with tears.

I turned the sink on so I would have warm water. I drummed my fingers in the water, waiting for it to heat up. Once it was warm, I got the palms of my hands wet. I picked up my face wash and put a tiny glob of the soap on my hands and rubbed them together, spreading the soap. I washed my face, gently spreading the soap, letting it soak in to my skin.

I rinsed my face once I was done. I looked back into the mirror. I looked a little better.

I decided that I would put my hair into a bun. I wrapped it with two hair ties, because of my hair's thickness.

I grabbed a dark gray t-shirt, and a pair of white short shorts, with a brown belt. I put on a pair of sandals, and grabbed a pair of black sunglasses.

I walked downstairs, and ate a bowl of Cheerios. I put the dirty bowl and spoon in the dish washer an went back upstairs.

I brushed my teeth. I looked myself over to see if I still looked like a mess. I had taken care of my hair, and my cheeks didn't look as bad as they did when I woke up.

The only problem were my eyes. They were still a tiny bit bloodshot.

I looked around in my bathroom drawers for spare eye drop containers. I finally found some, in the third drawer, all the way in the back. I looked at the expiration date, making sure they were still usable. They were.

I put two drops in each eye, and looked back at the mirror. The drops were already working, my bloodshot eyes, not so bad anymore. I waited a few more minutes before going back downstairs, so the drops had more time to work.

I finally decided that the drops had enough time, so I went downstairs, ready for the school day.

My dad was waiting for me. "What took so long?" He asked, concern edging on his voice. I was never late.

"My hair ties kept breaking," I lied. I was getting better at this lying thing; I hated it, especially to my dad.

"Okay, well lets go," he replied.

We got into the car and drove off to school. I put my headphones in, and I kept replaying Breakaway, memorizing the lyrics and tune.

Once we got to the building, I kissed my dad's cheek and said, "Bye dad. See you after school."

"Anna! There's practice today after school, are you gonna be there?" My father asked.

"Yeah, probably," I called back.

"Do you have clothes?" He questioned.

"I have an extra set in my gym locker," I replied.

"Alright have a good day. Love you," my dad said.

"Love you too," I responded.

I headed to the tree, hopefully to talk to Ben. Out of Alex, Henry, and Ben, Ben was the sensible one. Henry was the goof, and Alex was more protective than anything. They were all like brothers to me, but sometimes, they can overreact to things. Except for Ben, so that's why I need him right now.

I searched through the crowd, and picked out Ben's head. I started to head over to him, but I stopped, when I saw who he was talking to. Henry, Alex, and Charlie! Oh gosh, I can't go over there, I thought.
