Friday morning I woke up, buzzing with excitement. This was the day I would talk to Charlie no matter where he was.
I decided to wear a white tank top, with a pair of teal short shorts. I put my converse on. I had my hair down, pin-straight. I grabbed a pair of sunglasses, and set them on top of my head. I had a hair tie around my wrist in case of an emergency.
I had on light makeup, foundation and mascara, and finished getting ready.
I went downstairs, and waited for my dad to finish getting ready. Once he came down, we left.
Getting to school, I said farewell to my father, and kissed him on the cheek.
I walked quickly to the tree, looking around for Charlie, like I had done all week.
"Henry!" I yelled.
"Yo!" He replied immediately. I heard a few laughs, and followed the voices. He was talking to Mike, Silas, and Allen.
"Did you hear from Charlie today?" I asked.
"Still sick," he replied. That had been his answer all week, and I was becoming annoyed with it.
I groaned mentally. "Okay thanks Henry, I'll see you later."
"At practice?" He asked.
"Not today, I have to do a couple of things after school," I explained.
"Woah, Anna's not coming to practice!" Mike fake gasped. Everybody started laughing. I said my goodbyes and walked into school, to my locker.
I headed to class, and sat down at a desk. Soon enough class started.

Two hours later I was in the lunchroom, sitting in between Mike and Craig, with Alex, Eric, and Allen on the opposite side.
We were just talking until Mike asked me, "Anna, why have you been looking for Charlie all week?"
I almost choked cookie I was eating. Craig snorted. Alex's eyes went wide. I hit him upside the head and everyone laughed.
"We are working on an English project together, and we were supposed to work on it this week, but since he never came to school, I couldn't plan a day after school to catch up on what we missed," I lied. Again. I asked, "Why? Are you jealous?"
The boys burst into laughter, except for Mike. He blushed, and quickly replied, "No! I was just wondering. Sheesh."
We all laughed and continued talking. "Hey Anna, can I talk to you for a minute," Alex asked.
"Sure..." I replied hesitantly. The two of us stood up and I followed him into the hallway.
"What did you wanna talk about?" I asked.
"Has Charlie... Said anything to you?" He questioned.
He knows. I was panicking on the inside. On the outside I just looked confused and asked, "Like what?"
"Um..."
"C'mon Alex spit it out, its not like I'm Jennifer Lawrence," I teased. Alex has had a giant crush on her since we saw The Hunger Games in theater.
"Hey! Leave that out of this!" He exclaimed, blushing madly.
"Chill, I was just teasing. Why are you acting so weird?" I wondered aloud.
"Just forget about it okay?" He said with a smile.
Not wanting to get confused anymore, I agreed and nodded. "Okay."
