HAILEY POV
Today mummy asked me to take leave from classes, telling me that she is gonna introduce me to her lover. Though it's been 2 years after dad's death, I still can't come over it any sooner. But I want my mother to be happy and I don't want to burden her with my worries, so I accepted for today's visit.
Here I am sitting on my bed, I woke up just now. I'm going to take a bath and go down for breakfast. Mom told me that we will go around 10 o'clock.
I went down after taking bath. Mom has prepared my favorite Mac & cheese. I could see how happy Mommy is about this visit. She was very concerned about my thought in this new family of hers. I openly said that I have no objection in this. She was very happy about it.
We finished our breakfast and decided to get into car for the drive towards my soon-to-be step-father's house. She didn't explain in detail about their family. She told me that it's going to be a surprise for me. I too didn't ask anymore questions.
We arrived after an hour of driving. My mom and I got out of the car and my mom led our way. We went to the front door and my mom rang the bell.
A man around 40s opened the door and his lips turned into a big wide smile after seeing my mother. They hugged eachother. It was quite embarassing to stand there alone, in between a lovers, feeling nothing but like an intruder. I waited patiently for them to finish their "greetings".
Once they got separated, my mother introduced then as her new lover, Mr. Zakariah. He then shook his hands with me and gave me a polite smile. He welcomed us into his good looking home and let us occupy the sofa laid on the living room in a gigantic manner.
He asked me about my studies and random stuffs. He then called a maid and whispered something, then turned to my mom, giving her a Knowing nod and what surprised me was my mother's acknowledging nod. We then remained silent for few minutes, after which I heard few footsteps from the stairs.
I dare looked up and saw two young boys on their early 20s coming down the stairs.
Z- Zakariah, M-Mom, H-Hailey
Z: Come here my boys.... Hailey, they are my sons... Meet Tony and Robert....
H: H-hiii...
Tony: Hi (smiling)
whereas Robert completely ignored her greetings. Hailey gulped in embarassment.
Z: H-haa don't mind him Hailey. It's just work pressure. They are both working as doctors!!!!
