A horn sound made her flinch and she almost fell from my lap. I was quick enough to make a grip around her.

I somehow convinced her that my brother would enter our room any time sooner and I wanted her to at least wear her sports bra so that she wouldn't feel uncomfortable.

She didn't answer to me, instead tried her best to cooperate with me in making her wear it. Just as I completed making her wear it, my brother entered our room.

The way he tried to catch his breathe was a proof to how he has practically fled here, not just because I asked him too, but because he cares for my little wife. Though she isn't completely attached to all of my family members, I would say that my brother is someone with whom she is truly comfortable with.

He came near us in just three strides. My baby didn't see him, since she was facing my side and was hugging me and crying continuously in my embrace. He didn't utter a single word. Instead he just adjusted my hand further below, with which I was balancing her, to have a good look at the injured area.

After sensing someone else's presence and touch, she swiftly turned her head and saw that it was my brother. Either because she knows my brother's occupation or because of the fact that whatever he was doing was actually causing her pain, she tried to turn to his side assuming that she could stop him from look or touch at her wound anymore.

"It's nothing to worry dear. I'm just looking at the severity of your wound. And from what I've seen, there's nothing much to worry", he said while stroking her hair in a brotherly manner. But the way his other hand didn't let her turn around said the other. She cried very badly. Her cry echoed throughout the room.

He looked at me with a gaze that said, " You either hold her tightly during her treatment, or you will be the one to delay the whole process and make her cry in pain more."

And I'm sure by the way he sighed, that it wasn't going to be a process anywhere near to EASY.
