“I didn't the he'd be that predictable.” Julianne said from the doorway of the kitchen. Where she stood with tea cup and saucer in hand.
“I don't have time for this what are you talking about?” I asked squeezing the bridge of my nose to ward off the headache I felt coming.
“You've only been concerned about your own problems, you have no idea whats going on with this pack and that's why you never saw this coming.” She stopped to take a drink of her tea.
“Where exactly is this coming from?” I asked arching a brow at her.
“I think you're confusing her babe.”
I closed my eyes trying to tell myself that I was hearing things and in fact Luke was not in this house. I had to face reality sometime. I opened my eyes to find his arm draped around Julianne's shoulder and him nuzzling her her hair with her nose. Her eyes were closed and she had a smile one her face.
“I understand completely you're trying to show your father that you're able to take over as leader when he steps down. So you initiated this scheme of yours to take something your father has always wanted. You want to show him you're just as good as James because we both know he's always liked him better. I understand your pain no matter how messed up it is believe me I do, but you're going to fail and you're going to die. That's just how something turn out.” I said shrugging my shoulders.
If looks could kill I would probably be dead right now. His body was tense, jaw clenched, and his eyes were throwing daggers at me.
“What makes you say that?” He growled out.
“Babe it doesn't matter what she says lets just kill her.” Julianne said trying to calm him down.
“No I want to here what she has to say, before that happens.”
I gave a small smile and a snort of laughter.
“For starters you're arrogant and cocky; you don't plan ahead. I'm surprised you made it this far, but that's probably mainly due to Julianne helping you out. Is that why you're with her?”
I heard Julianne let out a small gasp
“Mainly though you're childish just like your father, the only difference is he knows how to put it away and get things done, no matter how backwards he is. So with that being said you can leave and leave Julianne behind and I'll forget this happened more or less. Or I can just kill the both of you now.”
Luke shifted easily and lunged towards me. I felt the magic course through me and I raised my hand sending him crashing back into Julianne. She shifted as well. Both of them stared me down canines showing, growling at me.
“Two against one that hardly seems fair.”
Julianne was the first to come at me I did the same to her only this time I held her there. No way was I letting her go. Luke attacked again I moved aside letting him crash through the door. I looked back toward Julianne who was having a hard time breathing. That's okay that's what I wanted. She wanted to betray her pack fine. Don't get caught doing it and you won't die. I could see the air moving away from her I held up my hand where the spherical ball began to form again. He was coming back I heard pad of paws ambling toward the house and up the steps. I released the growing ball in his direction. It hit him square in the chest sending him flying through the air and into a tree. This was deja vu minus the fainting. I turned to see she was no longer struggling. Her limbs were limp I let her go and she crumpled to the floor. I out of the broken door waiting for him to attack again. Minutes passed but nothing happened I didn't move. Finally I heard something I saw Liam approaching blood stained his body. My forehead creased concerned for his well-being.
