MIKAYLA WASTED NO TIME STRIPPING HER CLOTHES AND CRAWLING INTO ONE OF STALLS. Feeling the hot water trickle down her back, her muscles began to relax. She let out a sigh of relief, her eyes began to water, she let out a quiet sob. Her hand immediately covering her mouth.

"Stay alive."

She didn't want to cry but after everything that had happen in the span of two days, she couldn't help it. She lost Amy, even though they weren't close, Amy was the kind of person she wanted to be when she was older. Then, there was the attack on camp, she didn't know how long it lasted but she really thought she was gonna die. Jim's last word to her ran through her mind. And here she was, standing over in a shower in the CDC.

Mikayla might have been in the shower longer than intended too, wrapping a towel around her frame before walking out. She throw on a new pair of pants and one of Glenn's old shirts. Walking down the hallway, laughter echoed through them. The raven haired girl couldn't help but smile, a sense of joy and happiness she hadn't felt in a while.

"There she is!" Glenn called out causing the group to glance over at her, she sent a small wave. Four raised his glass in response, Thomas sent her a small smile as Alex brought her over to the group. Everyone sat, drinking wine and laughing with each other as the evening continued. Mikayla sat across from Four and next to Alex as they munched down on the food. Enjoying their time in the CDC, forgetting about what was out there.

"You know in Italy, children have a little wine with their dinner," Dale announced as he poured Lori another glass, "and in France."

Lori placed her hand over his glass playfully, as the others watched in amusement, "well, when Carl is in Italy or France, he can have some."

"What's going to hurt? Come on," Rick chimed in, a smile present on his lips.

Lori raised her eyebrows at her husband, before shrugging, giving Dale the okay. The older man, poured the smallest amount in his glass, "here you go, young lad."

Taking a sip, Carl licked his lips, gagging at the bitter taste, "eww," he moaned, wiping his mouth.

The group erupted in laughter at the sight, Alex leaned her head against the raven haired girl, sipping on her drink.

"That's my boy. That's my boy."

"You stick to soda pop there, buddy," Shane commented, a smile present on his always serious face.

"Not you, Glenn," Daryl spoke up, causing the older Rhee's smile to drop, "keep drinking little man, I wanna see how red your face can get."

Glenn turned a shade of pink as he laughed nervously, looking at the bottle of wine, he glanced over at his sister. He pulled out a clean glass, filling it up with the wine, "well, Mickey. It's your time to shine," he joked.
