chapter eleven: well water.

           MIKAYLA GROANED AS SHE LIFTED HERSELF FROM THE BED, she had decided that it was now time for her to be able to explore the farm and thank Hershel for saving her life. Even though she's done it a million times, she was thankful for him. In every way. She ran a hand through her hair as she made her way into the kitchen.

Lori stood with her back facing the younger Rhee, washing dishes while Alex was collecting the used dishes. Mikayla slowly and carefully made her towards them, "Mikayla!" Alex exclaimed, causing Lori to whip around.

Lori walked over towards her, resting her arm on the girl's lower back, "sweetheart you should be resting."

"I'm done staring up at a white roof," Mikayla stated, glancing outside the kitchen window.

"Just, be careful," Lori told her, scanning the younger Rhee face, a smile broke out as she brought her into her arms, "thank you."

Mikayla shook her head, "I promised that I'll keep him safe. I wasn't gonna break it."

"I'm glad you're alive," Lori told her, pressing her lips on the girl's forehead before letting her go. Alex was the next person to bring her into a hug.

"You scared the living shit out of me," Alex spoke, "I thought you died."

Mikayla chuckled as she wrapped her arms around the brunette, "glad to see you too, Alex."

Alex nodded, letting her arms drop to her side. She glanced outside the window, she nodded her head towards the dirty brunette, "his been waiting for you."

The corner of Mikayla's lips turned upwards as she nodded, trying to hide the tint of pink that had appeared on her cheeks. Before Alex could tease her about it, the raven haired girl made her towards Four.

Exiting Hershel's house, shielding her eyes from the hot Georgia sun as she stood on the porch. She crossed over the lawn and towards the group, Four turned his head towards her direction, a small smile present on his lips, "look at you!" He called out, as Mikayla approached him with open arms.

"Don't know if you're a hugger," Mikayla started but was cut off when Four wrapped his arms around her. Mikayla relax in his arms, Four's hand held her chin as he let go of her.

Four shook his head, "I ain't a hugger but for you I am."
