Meaningful Conversation (Luke)

Luke:

"Luke, where do you see this relationship going?" It was the night before Luke was leaving on tour. You had been friends for years, and he finally asked you to be his girlfriend two years ago.

"Are you asking about if we'll be together during the tour?" He asked as he ran his fingers through your hair.

"No, I mean in a couple years. It is really hard having you go off on tour and be surrounded by so many women. I have faith in you that you won't cheat; and I love you're living you dream, don't get me wrong! It's just the fact that I'm alone without you here." You sighed and grabbed Luke's free hand that was not twirling your hair.

"It's kinda weird. I can't picture myself with anyone but you. I hope our relationship lasts past the tour. I want to one day settle down in a place we've always dreamed of, but with the boys close by. We could live in a nice house with some kids and a dog. The boys could come over with their wives and kids once a month and have a nice dinner. I want to be with you for years to come. I want to be the one to propose to you. I want to be the one you say 'I do' to. I want to be the one who compliments you on how you look even when you're in your final month of pregnancy and have the belly swelled up like a balloon. I want to be the one you wake up to every morning. I want to be the one you want to spend the rest of your life with. The tours I go on hurt us both, I know. They're just obstacles to get us to our happy ending."

"That was so sweet, Luke." You kissed his cheek before shaking your head. "I can't think of a better plan on how to spend the rest of my life."
