His hand around Georgia's neck or Harold's neck and if possible he would watch them both suffer by his own two hands. William's thoughts occupied his racing mind I think she is the one for me he had said smiling like a fool and what she did? Cheat on him with his bestfriend? Harold, he wondered if he felt any single ounce of remorse before doing this to William. He shut open the music room, sitting on the seat as he contained his anger, refrained it from acting on his frustration. He inhaled his whole body stiff as he played some notes on the piano, pulling up his shirt's sleeves up. He wouldn't had been dressed up if Georgia wouldn't have got busted.
"Mr. Cole." He heard a rhythmic sweet tone and knew in an instant,
"What do you want, Audrey?" he asked without looking at her, his tone taut.
"Can I talk to you?" stopping he glanced at Audrey, dressed up in a long red gown.
"I don't think we ever talk." he breathed and saw her eyes move with unease.
"Context?" he asked reminding himself how close Georgia and Audrey were. She was with her at all times after entering this mansion.
"Miss. Georgia Evans," she said walking inside with steady small steps and stopped holding onto the edge of Paino table. Cole shook his head to erase the picture of Harold and Georgia making out in the car.
"I don't think she wants to marry you and as much as I can read the room nor do you Mr. Cole."
Cole chuckled his rage vividly expressing in his laugh
"And? What are we going to do about that?" he asked looking at her, her big eyes blinking faster and then slower.
"Are you so fervid about your bestfriend's or what so ever's crisis?" he added and rendered a smile to her, she stood queit looking a little pale and scared.
"Fine go on, I will hear your ecomium on MISS, GEORGIA CHEATER EVANS." He said "Maybe you can tell me about yours ecomium as well? Is your side profession a certified cheater?"
"Mr. Cole!" she said firmly, her big eyes widened as she speaks "You can not judge their relationship and Miss. Georgia always loved Harold not Mr. William." she said "Never Mr. William, he knew it and yet he let this happen."
Anger rushed through his veins as he got up from his seat and snapped his weary fingers. Audrey's flinch gave him an adavatange to the situation,
"What will you do then? If your lover cheats on you, with your best-friend?" she stood queit
"Tell me, Audrey?" he raised his eyebrow and she inhaled a shaky breath.
"This might be a frivilous matter to you but not me, never me because William was my brother."
"I know, I understand," she said "I just hope that you can give it a thought." She concluded and turned around holding her grown with both her hands.
A thought. A single thought. A single word echoed in his, mind yearned to become true to become a reality.
Avenge.
"Fine, I can't stop the ceremony but I won't get engaged to Georgia." he said and she halt in her step and turned around, smiling a little.
"Thank you, Mr. Cole." she said sweetly and he nodded looking at her. Smiling.
"Come on then." he said as she crinkled her eyes, she shook her head confused, her opened straight hair falling on her sides till her waist.
She winced painfully looking at Cole's grip around her wrist and looked at him,
"What are you-" Cole forcefully pulled her out of the room, the guards his father hired for the ceremony stood straight. Audrey twisted her hand and tried to break free with her free hand stumbling as she couldn't keep up with Cole's fast paced steps.
"Mr. Cole," she said her voice in pain as it got covered with William's memories, him smiling and the moments he shared with him. The generosity with which he lived his life.
Walking down the stairs he saw a huge amount of people, some familiar like Rowan who was William's depressed friend, officer Gabe and Archer were also for the security, dressed up as one of them.
On the corner he saw his father looking at him, lots of question in his eyes and Cole was happy to keep them unanswered for William, Always William he thought remembering Audrey saying Never William.
Georgia was dressed up, standing on the middle beside Jared her brows high up watching Audrey wincing in his grip.
"Quiet Audrey. Quiet." he mumbled as he took her to the middle, people's curious eyes on them. He smiled at the crowd and then looked at his father.
"Dad. I am sorry, I can't marry Georgia." he said and the crowd gasped and babbled to each-other. His father's eyes narrowed.
"Cole, I thought we agreed on this." he mumbled.
"We did. But Georgia knows Pattrick won't kill her and someone has to get engaged today."
"What are you saying, Cole?" Joanna asked flashing awkward smiles to the crowd, her hand on his shoulder as he tightened his grip on Audrey as she winced, he liked that.
"I want to get engaged to Audrey Bell." he said and looked at Audrey her eyes filled with tears, her lips in a pout as she held on to the tears or maybe screams but her eyes, they didn't hesitate looking directly into Cole's.
"I don't-"
"Queit." he said slowly
"I wish you all would bless us." he concluded looking at the crowd as they clapped and smiled. Of course they knew this was a forced engagement and him saying he liked Audrey would only alleviate their real happiness and maybe after all if Audrey was happy shiedling for Georgia then why not take her place in dying from Pattrick's hands? Or maybe his? Because he was sure, Pattrick would never kill him.
Joanna smiled and gave the ring to him while Cally handed the other to Audrey. Cole let go off her wrist as she rubbed the soreness left by his grip. Smiling at the crowd and his happy father he took Audrey's hands in his, squeezing it harder as she tried to pull away and put the ring on her finger, she shook her head looking at the ring in her hand.
"I am sure you don't want to die." he mumbled as she unwillingly put the ring on his finger and the people clapped and started enjoying drinking drinks and taking that moment Audrey swiftly ran towards the exit as he took a step to follow her but got held back by his father.
"When did this start?" his oblivious father asked and he smiled to himself.
"Now." he answered watching his father's smile drop and he opened his mouth to ask something but got held back by Georgia's mother.
"Talk to her I will be back." Cole said and rushed out of the mansion.
