★ chapter nine ★

felix continued his studying while hyunjin watched. felix then yawned a little and closed his book , looking at hyunjin. " i wanna know more about you " felix spoke softly . hyunjin smiled at felix's words. " more about me ? " he asked .
"youre the only one in the room " felix teased and laid back , getting comfortable.
hyunjin chuckled. " well.. i make art and i like music. I work at a small bar down the road from here " hyunjin spoke .
" you work ? at a bar ? isn't that illegal. you're underage " felix giggled.
" i work there on the beginning of the weeks . my dad knows the manager and convinced him to get me a job . " hyunjin spoke . he noticed felix getting sleepy. " what about you ? do you work ? " hyunjin asked , literally already knowing everything about felix .felix smiled and nodded a little. " i work at a cafe sometimes . i'm the person they call if someone isn't there on time or .. isn't coming " felix replied with a soft smile .
hyunjin laid down carefully on his stomach beside felix and listened. " you know.. you should run your own restaurant. you make amazing food. if you hadn't made me food i probably wouldn't have eaten anything else. " hyunjin admitted. felix blushed a bit . " you need to be eating wether it's my food or not mister artist . you're an alpha . if anyone needs food it's your kind . need to get big and strong " felix teased. hyunjin blushed while listening. " i'm already big and strong " he replied.
felix giggled. " when you fall in love with your mate you're going to need to protect them .. you can't do that if you don't take care of yourself as well. think about your mate when it comes to choosing wether to eat or not " felix explained .
hyunjin listened, taking these words from felix seriously. he was right. hyunjin was so caught up with watching felix that he didn't realize his health. all hyunjin wanted in life was to protect felix. he couldn't grasp if it was because he wanted felix as his mate or just a friend. he would never act in this manner with chan or any of his other friends. hyunjin laid his head down, thinking.
if anything happened to felix- actually no.. he couldn't even imagine the emotions that would fill his veins if something happened to the omega. a part of him wanted felix to mate with one of the strongest and powerful mates out there rather than him but .. he also didn't want felix near any other alpha but him. hyunjin had never mated or had a mate so he never discovered his strength.
" what if i want you to be- " hyunjin stopped as he looked at the boy, seeing the omegas eyes closed while the moonlight from the window reflected on his face, revealing felix's freckles . hyunjin stared at him for a few moments then smiled . hyunjin carefully laid his head on the omegas stomach to smell his calm and beautiful scent before closing his eyes.

felix woke up the next morning. hyunjins scent lingeried on his clothes and bed . he looked around but no sign of hyunjin. although he didn't want him to leave he also had to deal with his mother.
felix got up and changed his clothes so that his mom didn't smell the alpha . felix ruffled his blonde locks and walked downstairs with his laundry basket. " mom ? are you awake? " felix called out.
he didn't hear anything. just silence. felix saw a note on the kitchen island , setting the laundry basket on the counter and reading it with a confused face.
' thank you for the visit son ! i understand we didn't spend much time together but i must go . work is pretty busy ! p.s i cleaned that filthy guest bathroom. '
felix rolled his eyes and picked his basket back up , walking to the laundry room . " i don't even use that bathroom mom " felix mumbled as he began washing his clothes . the smell of the laundry detergent filled the air . felix continued washing clothes before suddenly feeling a hand press against his back , rubbing it . he squealed , jumping and turning around to see hyunjin .
felix widened his eyes a little and held his heart , breathing softly. " h-hyunjin . i thought you were gone " felix spoke as he looked at the dirty laundry he dropped from the jumpscare .
hyunjin crouched down , picking up the mess . " i'm really sorry. i thought you would've smelled me " hyunjin spoke , standing back up .
felix smiled a little at hyunjin. " the .. laundry detergent must've cancelled out your scent . w-why are you still here " felix asked while finishing up the clothes .
" i said i'd leave when she woke up . but.. i watched her leave " hyunjin spoke . " you'd think she'd at least tell you in person that she's leaving " hyunjin added .
felix sighed a little and nodded , setting the basket down and turning towards hyunjin . " that's why me and her aren't close " felix spoke . as felix tried to walk past hyunjin. hyunjin stopped him in the doorway, their faces inches apart due to the smallness of the entry. " felix " hyunjin spoke .
felix got a little nervous as he looked up at hyunjin . this was the closest they had ever been. he focused on hyunjins eyes , the warmth of his blushing filling his cheeks . " y-yes ? " he asked .
hyunjin stared at the omega, admiring the boys fragile eyes. thoughts from last night roamed hyunjins head . " am i allowed to stay here " hyunjin asked .
felix was surprised by his words . "you ? you want to stay here ? w-with me ? " felix asked .
hyunjin nodded his head. " i can .. i can help with the house and .. I'll even ask dad give me some cash for a vehicle so we can go to and from places together . " hyunjin spoke softly.
felix shook his head a little. more than anything all felix wanted was company. " no no! I would just love having someone here with me " felix spoke , a smile forming on his face .
" really ? " hyunjin asked with a smile .
" uhuh! we can bring your art stuff over and what you need and and you can have the guest bedroom - " felix rambled before hyunjin cut him off. " felix you really mean it ? " hyunjin asked .
felix blushed more and nodded his head .
