Namjoon POV
"So, that is our new manager?" Jimin asks.
"It appears so," I say, running my hands through my hair.
We head back to get mics and earpieces before getting into our sound check. An hour later, we headed back to our dressing room to relax for the rest of the time before the concert. Mel is typing away on her laptop. She looks up as we enter.
"Oh, sorry. I didn't know you would be done already. I will get out of your hair."
Before I can tell her it is okay, she shuts her laptop and heads out. We all take a seat after grabbing some water. A few get comfortable and close their eyes to take a nap. Some of the others pull their phones out and start looking around. I feel antsy. I decided to go for a walk around. I roam around a little backstage, but as I head toward the front, I hear our music blaring out in the arena. Reaching the side of the stage, I see Mel sitting there, cross-legged, with her laptop in front of her. Joon is dancing on stage with her Koya. She is singing along with one of our songs. The surprising part is she is singing in flawless Korean.
"Mommy, do you think they liked me?"
"What's not to like? You are amazing."
"Yeah, I know," she says, nodding her head. "Do you think they might want to play with me?"
She looks up at her before getting up and walking over to her.
"Joonie bug, I need you to listen, okay? We are going to be traveling a lot, and you will have me and Eunji. But BTS, they are going to be super busy performing and rehearsing, so I don't want you to bother them, okay?"
She pouts, "You mean they don't want to play with me?"
My heart breaks at her little pout and the disappointment in her voice.
"No, baby, that is not what I said. I am sure they would love to, but they are going to be so busy. I need you to promise me that you will stay away from them. Remember this mommy's job."
She nods. "Right, and we need to separate work and play."
"Right, bug. I just know that when we get settled in Korea, you will have so many friends you won't know what to do. I know it is going to be hard, but I promise Eunji and I will do everything we can to make sure that you have as much fun as possible ok."
"Okay. And when we get to Chicago, you are taking me to celebrate?"
"Yes, ma'am. I'm so sorry for not being able to do that yet. Thank you for being a big girl."
She gives her a hug and goes back to her laptop. Dynamite starts playing, and Joon sets Koya down carefully, telling him to watch and then she starts doing the choreography to Dynamite perfectly. I get up and head back to the dressing room with an idea in mind. On the way, I run into Eunji.
"Hey, Eunji, I need your help with something."
Mel POV
"Hey, Mel. One of the stylists asked if she could fix Joon's hair and put some sparkles on her face."
"Sure, if they offered."
I just got her dressed in her black leggings and t-shirt dress I had custom-made for her birthday. It is purple and has all of the BT21 characters on it but in the middle of them is a cartoon version of her, and they are all hugging her. It says "Birthday Girl" in Korean. She insisted she wear it tonight to start their tour. After her shoes are on, she grabs Koya and heads off with Eunji.
Now, I can get myself dressed. Since I will be helping backstage and in the sound booth, I decided to wear all black to blend in. After pulling on my black jeans and a plain black tee, I don my black Vans and touch up my makeup from earlier. Braiding my hair to keep it back a little better, I am ready to go. I grab my phone and walkie with a headpiece, putting it in my ear.
