Mel POV
The internet lost its mind after the announcement So much hate directed at me and Joonbug, but surprisingly, true ARMY shut that all down within a few days. There were a few that were very loud with their hate, and ARMY cyberstalked them. They dug up dirt on them and they were quieted without incident.
The guys were going home for Christmas but decided to leave on Christmas Day afternoon because they wanted to be there with Joonbug when she woke up Christmas morning. Christmas Eve, they made a big pallet on the floor in the living room where we all slept. She woke us up at the crack of dawn, yelling about Santa having come.
I put cinnamon rolls into the oven, and we let her start opening gifts before she exploded. As I predicted, she got so much stuff that there was no way it would fit in her room. The guys opened their gifts from us, and by lunchtime, everyone was showered, and all the wrapping was cleaned up. They gave hugs, and all headed out to go home for a few days. Joon dropped his bag at the door.
"Ready to go?"
"Go where?" I ask, confused.
"To my parents." He says, like I am dumb.
"What?"
"They are ready to meet you and their granddaughter."
"Joon...I, are you sure?"
He walks over and wraps me in a hug.
"Yes, ma'am. Now, go pack a bag for you two. I told her we would be there well before supper."
I turn to go pack, and he smacks my ass hard, chuckling when I yelp. After packing a bag for me and Joonbug, she grabs Koya and we head down to a car waiting. Hwan loads our bags, and we take off to Ilsan. Joon takes my hands in his and kisses my knuckles, stopping me from wringing my hands.
"They are going to love you both."
"And if they don't?"
"Doesn't change a thing."
We pull up outside of a nice two-story modern house. As we are climbing out, the door opens and his parents come outside. He steps out first, holding his hand out to take mine and then for Joonbug. We walk forward and stop in front of them.
"Mom, Dad, I would like you to meet Mel and Joonbug."
I reach my hand out to shake, but his mom rushes me and wraps me in a hug while his dad bows to Joonbug.
"An honor, princess."
Once his mom releases me, she turns to Joonbug.
"Hello, little one. Would you like a cookie?"
"Yes." Bug says, jumping a little.
His dad bows to me and then holds his arm out for me to loop my throw before escorting me into the house.
