Rae melted against him with a soft moan, which in turn, ripped a low growl from deep within Hunter. He grabbed her hips and pulled her against him tightly, until not even a whisper of air could pass between them.
"You feel this?" Hunter asked as he broke the kiss and pressed his groin against Rae. She giggled and nodded. "That's what happens when you make sexy little noises like that moan and then I'm left with trying to calm myself down, so that I can walk around in public." Rae giggled again, but when she suddenly stopped and widened her eyes, Hunter frowned at her. "What?"
"You just kissed me in public. In public Hunter!" The concern was rippling off her in waves, but he just laughed and kissed her softly on the lips again.
"Too right I did!"
"But..."
"No buts Rae. No one down here knows us. I'm not in my uniform, so no one knows I'm a cop and that you're not quite eighteen yet. Down here?" He smiled brightly at her. "Down here, I can show you exactly how you make me feel."
"That's great and all guys, but there's a cop car that's stopped by Rae's car twice now." Hunter and Rae stiffened at Nash's words, their eyes turning in the direction of her new car, seeing the cruiser blocking it in.
"Shit! They know. Oh God, they're gunna take her!" Rae gasped, suddenly struggling to catch her breath.
"Rae." Hunter lightly kissed her lips again. "It's all good. I'll go see what's up." He let her go, but took hold of her hand as they walked towards Nash. "And dude! Stop acting guilty!" Hunter shook his head at his brother. "Just go and sit on the blanket and act like we're just a family on holidays. Can you do that?" He looked at them both and smiled when they nodded, winking at Rae as he walked over to the police car.
"Hey guys. Everything alright? My missus didn't accidentally park in a handicap spot did she?" Hunter shook his head, like it was something that could possibly be a regular occurrence, as he walked over to the open window of the officer in the passenger seat. "You'd think as the girlfriend of a cop, she'd pay more attention." He rolled his eyes for emphasis.
"You on the force?" The driver asked. Hunter nodded and took his badge out of his pocket to show them.
"Yeah up in Queensland. Just down for a quick little getaway. Baby came early and it's been a rough couple of weeks, so figured she could use a few days by the beach."
"Good man." The officer in the passenger seat winked at him. "What did you have?"
"A baby girl and I love her Mum, but mate..." He groaned. "I never knew a love like the one when I first saw that baby girl, was possible, you know?" Hunter may have been trying to convince them of their story, but his heart raced when he realised he wasn't lying. Not even slightly.
Both of the police officers laughed.
"Both of us have daughters, so yeah, we get it."
"Do you need me to move the car?" He asked, nodding towards Rae's Ora.
"Nah mate." The driver said. "My wife fell in love with those cars when she saw an ad for one on Facebook a couple of weeks back, so honestly, I was just trying to scope it out. Would you recommend it?"
"I prefer my diesel guzzling forbie, but she loves it and that's what matters." Hunter flashed them a grin.
"Very true."
"Want me to grab the keys from her, so you can have a look inside?" Hunter asked and the officers eyes widened.
"Would you? She's pretty much got me convinced I'm buying her one, but it would be nice to make sure the kids will fit."
