"Has he woken up yet?" Sasha's voice demanded as she walked through the door. Hunter knew another punch was imminent, since she was never going to find Amelia in the city and just hoped he'd be able to pretend he was still unconscious when she did it.

"Not that I know of." Rick replied.

"What do you mean 'not that you know of'?" Hunter heard a loud slap followed by Rick groaning.

"There's no food here Sasha. I went to get something to eat. He's still attached to the bed and there's no piss in the bucket, so he hasn't woken up yet. Christ woman!"

"Well she wasn't at that hospital either!" Hunter could hear Sasha storming towards his bed from the front door and focussed on keeping his breathing even, knowing what was coming.

"Sash!" Rick yelled, suddenly sounding closer.

"What?"

"Have you eaten today? I got you some of that cannelloni that you love from Manny's."

"You did?" Her voice softened.

"Of course! I know it's your favourite. How about you give your fist a break and come enjoy something to eat."

"And then you can have me for dessert." She crooned and Hunter had to force himself not to gag.

Luckily for Hunter's physical health, but definitely not his mental health, Rick had managed to keep Sasha busy until she passed out on the double bed that was next to the single one he was cuffed to.

"Does cannelloni work often?" Hunter asked, rolling over to look at Rick.

"Every woman has her weakness. You just have to know what works for each specific woman." He chuckled.

"Just like I knew you two were up to something." Sasha sat straight up, looking like something out of a horror movie and smiled sickly sweet at them both, before quickly picking up the gun and shooting Rick.

"No!" Hunter called out and looked at the man now laying on the floor in a steadily growing pool of blood.

"Shame... He was a pretty good lay." Sasha said with a nonchalant shrug. She got up from the bed, leaned down and licked Hunters cheek. "You are pretty delicious. I can see why my daughter has been obsessed with you for years. Do anything stupid and you'll never stop me from killing her and the spawn that came out of me a few days ago. Understand?"

"Yes." Hunter said through clenched teeth, still staring at Rick's body. He was careful not to let his facial expression change when he saw the other man's chest rise and fall slightly, realising he was still alive.

Sasha unlocked the cuffs and stood back, pointing the gun at his head.

"Get up! You're going to tell me exactly where my baby is."

"Why don't you just give up parental rights? That removes your motherly responsibility. You don't have to kill them."

"You expect me to trust Mitch?! There's no way I'm paying child support on those bitches! Nah, nah, nah... My only way out is to off em all." The laughter that came out of her mouth made Hunter's blood run cold. "I said get up!" She screamed, jabbing the gun into his side. Hunter groaned and did as she said. "Out we go Hunty Wunty. Off to find the baby wayby."

"This bitch is more unhinged than we thought!"

After being locked away in the dark for the past two days, the sunlight blinded Hunter momentarily when they walked out of the motel room. The first thing he noticed when his eyes did finally adjust though, was Tyler's car parked on the opposite side of the carpark and his best friend hovering behind the bushes near it.
