Zee pov.

I had a hard time falling asleep lately, but last night was different. Nhu was here and cuddled with me after looong night. He drifted off in my arms, feeling his hair tickle my nose while breathing in his scent mixed with mine . I kissed him softly and  I snuggled up to him and slept like a baby.

I woke up this morning with a smile on my face, hoping to see his cute face next to mine. But he was gone. The bed was cold and empty. I felt a pang of sadness and confusion. Where did he go? Why did he leave? Did he not enjoy our night together? I looked around the room, searching for a clue. The only thing I found was his wrist watch on the nightstand. It was still ticking, like a reminder of our fleeting time together. I picked it up and held it close to my chest, inhaling his faint scent on it. It was the only evidence that he was here last night.

I decided to text him

Good morning nhu.
Why didn't you wake up? I would have loved to have breakfast with you
We could still get lunch together.
Please answer me.
Hello?

I sigh as I stare at my phone, waiting for his reply. Maybe I'm just overthinking things. Maybe he's busy with something important. It is Sunday, after all, and he deserves a day off. I try to shake off the anxiety and get ready for the day. I have things to do, too, and I can't let him ruin my mood. I put on some music and start to get dressed, hoping he'll text me back soon.

I grabbed my phone and was about to dial his number when I heard loud bangs at my door. "Zee, open up!" a female voice shouted. I recognized her voice instantly. It was Anna, the girl I was supposed to marry. My father had arranged this engagement with his friend's daughter, thinking it was good for me. I didn't hate her, but I couldn't stand her either. She was loud and annoying, the opposite of Nhu. "Zeeeee!" She kept banging on the door, making a racket. I sighed and opened the door, hoping she wouldn't make a scene. "What do you want?" I asked, pretending not to care. She looked irritated by my attitude. "Didn't your assistant tell you that you need to pick a color for your suit?" She asked, holding a bunch of fabric samples. I rolled my eyes at her nonsense. "What assistant? It's Sunday, everyone is at home." "Well, I called in the morning and your assistant picked up. He was very rude. He hung up on me." She said, frowning. Oh shit. Fuck.

'
I was getting ready to go see Nhu and was putting on my shoes. Anna-banana-nut-job was snooping around my apartment and picked up Nhu's watch. "Oh, this is pretty. Can I have it?" she asked. I snatched it from her and said, "No, you can't." She pouted and said, "Oh, come on, Zee. You can just buy another one." I didn't say anything and grabbed my stuff to go out. "Don't tell me this belongs to someone else," she said. I ignored her and opened the door, signaling her to leave. "Don't tell me you're cheating on me. Who is she?! I'm going to find her and put her in a ditch " she yelled like a lunatic. "How can I cheat on you when we're not even dating?" I said, dodging her and locking the door behind me.

It's not that I was stalking nhu but while going through his cv I might have memorized his address.

I rang the bell and waited for him to open the door. To my surprise, nhu appeared in front of me wearing a mismatched pajama set that looked like it had been picked out by a blindfolded monkey. He had one long sock that reached his knee and one short sock that barely covered his ankle. His hair was a mess of tangled curls that defied gravity. And to top it all off, he was holding a cat in his arm that looked equally disheveled and annoyed. He frowned sleeply at me.
